Diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future. To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture. We also urge all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to allow diplomacy to achieve conclusive termination of war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region.

I built a new plugin! You can now trigger Codex from Claude Code!
Use the Codex plugin for Claude Code to delegate tasks to Codex or have Codex review your changes using your ChatGPT subscription.
Start by installing the plugin:

If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*
Settings -> Privacy -> Disallow GitHub to train their models on your code.
GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH

@TTChelps the TTC lane has dramatically increased traffic on Bathurst. Lots of lost productivity hours for people who commute to work.
Also, do we need the tram tracks here? Buses are much faster and easier to maintain
@TTChelps you do not need a Portland and Bathurst stop on the 504 street car - just one will suffice.
I could walk between the two stops in the time taken for the TTC doors to open and close
@DavidSacks@SemiAnalysis_ Using one bad thing to justify another bad thing is not a great line of argument imo.
I’m not anti data center fwiw.
We should likely desalinate water for them. Energy expensive for sure, but we have a lot of good options to increase energy output.
@AirCanada hats off to you for getting the bags lost during the snowstorm delivered to my doorstep the next day. Can't imagine how many issues you had to deal with with all the cancelled and delayed flights. Good stuff!
Big news: Block, @Anthropic, and @OpenAI are launching the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), a new @LinuxFoundation directed fund for open source agentic AI.
Companies like Google, Microsoft, Bloomberg, and Amazon are already committed.

@build_canada really love your public tracking dashboard, was curious if you could make one about exec salaries of public banks in Canada?
Would also love to see how it matches up with revenues. A lot of friends who work at banks complain about how their companies make a lot but they reap a small fraction of those rewards
@TTChelps delete the streetcar on Bathurst please. So much money invested into a project that requires so much maintenance and money. Buses are just way more cost/time-effective
Yeah makes sense and agree with the other problems you’ve brought up and your solutions.
Well hopefully some of this gets fixed or flagged somewhere? Feel like generating a good open-source dataset would be pretty useful here! Maybe some RFID chips on buses / streetcars / trains versus tapping.
I think the calculations you've done should be per pr/(km hr) as you mentioned so I'll take them with a grain of salt - we need a node-edge data structure to have a well-informed debate about this.
And even if streetcars are more operationally / financially efficient, they're slow and disruptive, especially in mixed traffic. Curious to hear your thoughts on that.
