Perhaps my favorite NFL photo
Young Terry Bradshaw, commanding the Steelers huddle with his team backed up against the Chiefs' Redwood Forest defense
October 18, 1971
Must see: 25 years ago in Tampa. Jerome Bettis threw the 2nd touchdown pass of his career to Jerame Tuman. Against a Tampa team that would win the Super Bowl the next year. That secondary that got fooled? Coached by Mike Tomlin. PS-I loved NFL Primetime.
OTD in 1970….
Terry Bradshaw’s 1st career TD pass
It’s a 67-yarder to Ron Shanklin in Pittsburgh’s 1st ever game in the Astrodome.
It proves to be the only TD of the contest as the Steelers earn their 2nd consecutive victory.
50 years ago today….
Jack Lambert takes exception to a late hit on his QB
He also makes an INT, forces and recovers a fumble, and helps the Steelers hold the Bengals to 6 points.
It sparks a 10-game winning streak in which the Steel Curtain redefine dominance.
