This photo from 1902 shows French knife grinders. They would work on their stomachs in order to save their backs from being hunched all day.
They were also encouraged to bring their dogs to work to keep them company and also act as mini heaters by having them rest on their owners’ legs.
They were also called ventres jaunes (“yellow bellies” in English) because of the yellow dust that would be released from the grinding wheel.
🔥 Robert F Kennedy Jr & Dave Smith Discuss the 'Money Laundering Scheme' in Ukraine
"It's a money laundering scheme...We give $113B to the Ukraine but 90% of that comes right back to the Military Industrial Complex...You have this whole thing that's rigged to provide a constant pipeline of new wars in order to feed the Military Industrial Complex."
@RobertKennedyJr@ComicDaveSmith
If you insert electric probes into an insect *before* adulthood, its tissues can organically grow around the probe and unlock a high-bandwidth insect-machine interface.
Then you can read data from the insect's brain and *control* its flight by stimulation. This is from 2009, but I believe modern hardware and AI stack can dramatically improve the "insect cyborg":
- Microchips and onboard computing are now way more powerful.
- Diffusion is able to reconstruct images from even the human brain, let alone an insect's. We will be able to decode the insect's vision and plan accordingly.
- Control methods are more sample efficient & robust. With enough insect samples, we can gather data to train a highly nontrivial flight controller. RLIF = reinforcement learning from insect feedback?
Kingmakers in the DNC are taking no chances. This time simply canceling all primary debates, effectively silencing opposition voices like @RobertKennedyJr and showing their complete disdain for American people and their right to make an informed decision about who they choose to represent them.
Sam Altman On A.I. & Election Interference
Sam Altman, CEO Of OpenAI, is being questioned in the U.S. Senate today.
Josh Hawley asks Sam “Should we be worried about [A.I.] for our elections?” In regards to A.I. models helping organizations illicit certain behaviors from voters.
Sam replies by saying A.I. and elections are a “significant area of concern” and “some regulation would be quite wise”
Will ChatGPT & A.I. play a much bigger role in the 2024 elections than we think?
“Crypto bros ... made over a trillion dollars out of thin air,” U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman has said at a House hearing.
“They’ll accuse the U.S. government of making money out of thin air. Maybe we do, but we’re the U.S. government.”
RFK Jr. Doubles Down on CIA Assassination Claim
In this clip, we see RFK Jr. (Democratic nominee for the 2024 elections) talking about the assassination of his uncle, John F. Kennedy.
He claims that his father, Bobby Kennedy, initially thought that the CIA murdered his brother.
Is RFK Jr.'s transparency regarding his belief that the CIA murdered his uncle a detriment to attracting potential voters, as some may perceive him as a conspiracy theorist?
Or is this transparency and honesty from a presidential candidate what the American people crave?
"Someone inquired why Sparta was without walls. Agesilaus pointed to the citizens covered in their armour: "There," he said, "the ramparts of the Lacedaemonians.""

Newly-discovered asteroid 2023 JO passed less than 1/4 the Moon's distance on May 8. It approached the daytime side of the Earth, so it was undiscoverable prior to close approach. It may be as large as 9 meters across.
"There is no military on earth that can beat the US!"
True...but compounding interest is undefeated all-time against empires.
Remaining choices = Cut rates, cut DoD spending, cut Entitlements, or print whatever's needed.
The lost girl, 1874 Blanche Monnier was a Parisian socialite, known for her beauty. In France, she is referred to as "La Séquestrée de Poitiers" which means "The Confined Woman of Poitiers". The story behind this title is tragic beginning with a love story that ended poorly.
Member of Congress just said the quiet part out loud.
"They'll accuse the U.S. government of making money out of thin air. Maybe we do, but we're the U.S. government."

@oldbooksguy Orwell was right -> schools & media
Huxley -> public *is* heavily medicated
Rand was also right, as you say.
We now have the perfect storm.
Did you know that Soma is a real drug? Takes away pain, but dulls your mind.
On this day 30 years ago, the US government murdered 82 men, women and children.
Why?
Because some federal agencies wanted a budget increase, and they needed to create a boogeyman to justify it.
They descended on Waco, Texas to arrest David Koresh for allegedly modifying weapons to make them into "machine guns", though they had no physical evidence of that.
Instead of simply arresting Koresh one of the many times prior to the siege that he left the compound alone, or simply allowing him to surrender after his manifesto was released, they chose instead to trap dozens of families in their compound, set it on fire, and shoot anyone who tried to escape as it burned.
The government then slandered the names of the Branch Davidians to the public, to try to convince us that it was good that they had murdered families, even children and babies.
We remember them today.

May your memories be a great blessing.
Your deaths will not be in vain.
We will end the ATF and FBI, and the cult of deference to an out-of-control government that allows murderous organizations like them to continue to exist.
