Hi, #PortfolioDay ! My name is Dmitry, I'm one of the very few Belarusian paleoartists. My profession is a neurophysiologist, but my passion is #dinosaurs! I love to create in different styles, both traditional and digital graphics.
Okay, so yesterday's post was a joke, so now I'm sharing a more serious version of the artwork. The diversity of the Lambeosaurini clade, which includes three species of Lambeosaurus, as well as the genus Amurosaurus from the Russian Far East.
Lambeosaurus species diversity. A recent study (April F. et al., 2026) suggested that the canals and sacs of lambeosaurine crests could have served as reservoirs not only for air but also for water. Hadrosaurs could have sprayed rivals and impostors with water, like a squirt gun.
@TM9380 Thanks for the correction! Yeah, I was thinking about that too... My bad, I didn't read the article all the way through. Unfortunately, it came out after the drawing was finished, and I only changed the shape of the comb.
What if Nanotyrannus is valid taxon? How then real subadult Tyrannosaurus looks like? There is the hypothesis based on LACM 23845,PIN 552-2, "Son of Sampson" and "Chomper".
Art raises problematic questions, but the presence of a riddle can be much more interesting than its answer
REAL DRAGONS OF SILESIA
The triptych in its entirety. This unique Mesozoic ecosystem is geographically the closest to my homeland. When creating this art, I was inspired by the works of William Stout and monumental museum murals such as "The Age of Reptiles" by Rudolf Zallinger.
