@Bring_Rome_Back@simongerman600 Byzantine empire was the Roman Empire. The attempt at delegitimisation of it as the Roman Empire was started by the Francs and the Papacy in 800 ad , whom wanted to claim the western imperial title for Charlemagne. So I agree with you the map is wrong in that Rome went onto 1552
@simongerman600 Byzantine empire was a term coined by Hieronymous Wolf in 1557 and entrenched by Gibbon. It was and will always be the Roman Empire. The map is WRONG!!!!
@hakanfidan_tr In the last 14 years you had Shabani and co in cahoots with ISIS in Syria and IRAQ. I feel sorry for the Syrian people, they deserve better governance.
@ottomanenglish The Cypriots themselves stopped the junta coup. The coup was mainly greek against Greek. With EOKA B, after 1972, there were no Turkish casualties. Both of the above are used as an excuse for Turkish interference and invasion in 1774 but in reality are a fake excuse.
@zgizemozpinar There is no dispute over sovereignty in the Aegean, there are only ludicrous claims made by Turkey. Sovereignty of the islands is crystal clear.
@academic_la No difference, for years Turkey organised and supported ISIS and the Jihadis now in control of Syria against the then Syrian government. Turkey and the Jihadis are responsible for the murders and ethnic cleansing of Allawites and Christians in Syria.
@TurkHarptarihi2 Those hero soldiers you refer to were slave soldiers and high on hasish. There was nothing noble about them, treated like animals by their commanders, they murderec and butchered many innocent peoples. There is nothing glorious or noble about what they did.
@ottomanenglish This whole discussion is idiotic, Roum/ Romios and Hellene/Greek or Giaour ( during ottoman times) are all the same thing. It is the natural effect of having been a continuous presence and civilization for 3000 years on one place. Names change.
