Bravest of the Brave , the only #AshokaChakra awardee from his state yet, two decades after his supreme sacrifice, the request for a statue of Paratrooper Sanjog Chhetri in Gangtok is being met with a resistance by the Sikkim Government authorities on the basis of a very illogical reason but there is no such resistance while conferring any award/recognition to citizens from other states.
A soldier doesn’t think of which state he belongs to or is fighting for or making the supreme sacrifice but such recognitions for him are often buried under rules.
Hoping that Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri @PSTamangGolay , will ensure in bestowing the long overdue and befitting honour to Ptr Sanjog Chhetri by approving an installation of his bust in Gangtok as well as his school in Namchi, so that it continues to inspire the future generations.
