Our Nera did an amazing job presenting at the "Dan i noć na PMF-u" science event! 🌊🦟She talked about how insect colonization maintains the connectivity of intermittent streams.

Lea shared insights at the Assembly of the Croatian Ecological Society on how spider communities disperse and shift as intermittent rivers dry out 🕷️💧🌿 Thanks for inviting us!
Zuzi and Nera are having a great time at the @SEFS14BOLU in 🇹🇷! They gave exciting talks on snails and energy-related biomarkers in intermittent rivers to show how stressed invertebrates really are. Plus, they even squeezed in a fun field trip! 🌿🚌 #SEFS#FreshwaterScience
After a great time at the science festival, our team is back in the field! Rivers are drying quickly this season, so we’re working fast to collect the 🐛🪲🐞we need! #intermittentrivers@hrzz_science
This week, DinDRY members hosted an educational workshop for kids about food webs in intermittent rivers 🌊 as part of the Science Festival in Zagreb, held at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum. Great energy, curious minds, and lots of smiles! #FestivalZnanosti
With rising temperatures this time of year, rivers are starting to dry up, which means the DinDRY team is back in the field collecting invertebrates! 🐜🌞#intermittentrivers

How species recolonize intermittent rivers, by dispersal or survival? Nera is analyzing DNA barcodes of aquatic and terrestrial macroinvertebrates from lotic and lentic phases of our studied rivers to find out! @hrzz_science
Even the dogs loved Lea’s talk on invertebrates in intermittent rivers at PhDCaffe, organized by @hrzz_science! Huge thanks to them for the opportunity to share our research and hear amazing talks from fellow PhD students🥰
Team members Andreja Brigić, Marina Vilenica & Zuzana Redžović presented DinDRY project results at the 7th Slovenian Entomological Symposium in Izola, Slovenia 🪲 #Entomology#KarstRivers#Biodiversity
Thanks to the @hrzz_science MOBDOK grant, Lea spent a month at RPTU identifying spiders 🕷️ as part of her PhD research. She made significant progress and strengthened her skills!
We published a new paper! 🥳🥳 Colonization of dry riverbeds is rapid and primarily diurnal, driven by both active and passive dispersal. Click here to read more: https://t.co/w4silkxsja #intermittentrivers
Exciting news! Fran and Zuzana have received support from HAZU for their projects! Fran is mastering the art of centipede identification, and Zuzana is investigating how environmental stressors impact invertebrate communities in intermittent, human-impacted rivers.
Congrats!🥳
We're excited to welcome Nera Vuić as our new PhD student working on the DinDRY project! 🎉 She has just started, and we're looking forward to the great work she'll do. Welcome aboard, Nera! 🌱🔬 #PhD#Research#NewBeginnings
Congrats to our PhD student, Lea, for being awarded the @hrzz_science MOBDOK grant! 🎉 She’ll be heading to Germany to work on spider samples as part of her doctoral research. We’re so excited!
We are super proud to share that Marina and the team had one of the most cited publications of 2022 in the Diversity Journal! Well done, Marina! 🎉 #intermittentrivers@hrzz_science
Exciting Opportunity! The DinDRY team is looking for a PhD student. If you have a Master’s degree and a passion for ecology, invertebrates, and intermittent rivers, this is your chance!🌊🪲 Apply by 24 Sept. and share with others who might be interested! https://t.co/qL4K57uIDG
🚨 Exciting news! The #DinDRY team will soon be looking for a new PhD student! If you're passionate about intermittent river biology and have experience in a zoology lab, stay tuned for the upcoming call. 🐟🌿🔬 #hrzz#IntermittentRivers#Zoology
Diving into #statistics in general, and specifically into multivariate data analysis this week, with @ucfagls this week has been an absolute privilege for us!🎓
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us (sorry we missed a few faces in the photo)
