El Niño is arriving on our doorstep in the coming months with 90% certainty.
The world must treat it as the urgent climate warning it is.
The only effective response is #ClimateAction equal to the crisis – ending the addiction to fossil fuels, accelerating the shift to renewables, protecting the most vulnerable, and delivering early warning systems for all.

Horrific videos from Gaza have been circulating for hours after israel struck a residential building.
I don’t know what’s more disturbing, the image of children’s bodies torn apart (again) or the fact that it’s barely considered newsworthy because the children are Palestinian.
Woke up to the saddest news today: my friend Fadi Almeghari was martyred in Gaza.
My heart feels especially heavy. We are constantly told there is a ceasefire, but all that really seems to mean is that innocent people are being killed at a slower pace.
Fadi was more than a photographer, more than a storyteller. He was a provider to his community, someone who carried people with whatever he had. He was an older brother to the children around him, especially to those who had lost a father, a mother, or an entire family. He became a son to many parents who had lost their own children, and a grandson to the elders who had survived more grief than anyone should ever have to carry.
That is what made his vision so special. He did not only capture beauty in the middle of violence and destruction, he lived it. He gave people warmth, dignity and tenderness in a world that tried to strip them of all three.
Only someone with a pure heart could portray life with that much love, even in the middle of so much death.
May Allah grant you Jannah, my friend.
TRUMP JUST PUBLISHED THE EXACT LIST OF COUNTRIES THAT MUST SIGN THE ABRAHAM ACCORDS OR THERE IS NO IRAN DEAL
Not a suggestion. Not a request. MANDATORY. Simultaneous. His exact word.
Here is the list:
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia → no diplomatic relations with Israel → now told signing is non-negotiable
🇶🇦 Qatar → hosts Hamas political bureau → now told to normalize with Israel as part of the Iran package
🇵🇰 Pakistan → nuclear-armed, 230 million Muslims, never recognized Israel → leaders reportedly SURPRISED on the call
🇹🇷 Turkey → NATO member, Erdogan called Israel's Gaza operations war crimes → now on the mandatory list
🇪🇬 Egypt → existing peace treaty with Israel since 1979 → full Abraham Accords normalization is a different ask
🇯🇴 Jordan → peace treaty since 1994 → full normalization still a new demand
🇧🇭 Bahrain → already signed in 2020 → now being used as the template everyone else must follow
🇦🇪 UAE → original signatory → now expected to pull the others across the line
💀 8 countries on one call
💀 7 of them have no full normalization with Israel
💀 ZERO were told this was coming — leaders described as surprised
💀 100% of this is being framed as repayment for U.S. efforts
Trump's own words on Truth Social, May 25, 2026: "after all the work done by the United States to try and pull this very complex puzzle together, it should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords."
Every country on this list has a domestic political cost for signing. Not a small one. An enormous one.
Trump's 48-hour ultimatum is still forming. These are the countries at the table right now.

The situation we have reached in Gaza is harsher than anything imaginable. Mosquitoes and insects devour us to the point that my clothes are stained with blood from scratching so severely. Rats, on the other hand—I live in half a house, while the other half is bombed and filled with hundreds of rats, some weighing up to 1.5 kilograms each. Our children do not sleep at night out of fear. The bombardment is still ongoing, and the genocide has never stopped for a single day; every day there is a massacre. Every passing moment, I fear a missile will fall over my head. Furthermore, the famine continues; more than 85% of the people of Gaza depend entirely on food kitchens, and Israel still allows food in very minute quantities that do not suffice even 10% of Gaza's population. We are so tired of this situation. Until when??
Ben Gvir inadvertently did journalism a service. Without his public broadcasting of the abuse, flotilla detainees' testimonies would have been met with denial and a smear campaign against them and reporters who carried their accounts.
Today, we are trapped within an area of only 133 square kilometers out of #Gaza’s original 365.
Yellow lines chase us, and new orange lines are drawn every day over what remains of our lives.
We sleep beside new borders and wake up to even newer ones devouring our land and pushing us into the unknown.
This war is no longer only about bombing and hunger our homeland has been reduced to shrinking squares closing in on us, until even survival itself needs a place.
I don’t know if anyone will care about what I am saying, but the outside world must know exactly what is happening here… not later, but now.
What we are experiencing in Gaza has gone beyond the limits of human endurance. The camps have turned into a terrifying hotspot for the spread of diseases. With the beginning of summer and thousands of families crowded into extremely tight spaces next to garbage dumps, illness is spreading rapidly, as if it has become part of daily life. There is also an incomprehensible media silence regarding the scale of this growing health catastrophe, despite repeated warnings from medical teams and field workers.
Skin diseases, infections, and contagious illnesses are spreading widely, especially among children, in an environment that lacks the most basic conditions of hygiene or treatment. Rats are everywhere between the tents, insects are spreading heavily and causing continuous injuries, and there are no means of control such as poisons or pesticides. My nieces are part of this reality… their bodies are covered in painful bites that worsen every day without effective treatment.
The situation is collapsing with no real solutions. Medicines are scarce, disinfectants are almost nonexistent, and unsafe water is contributing directly to the spread of disease, while the healthcare system is beyond its capacity.
As of now, cases are estimated at around 160,000 people and still increasing, most of them children. This is not an exaggeration… it is a complete health collapse inside the camps.
A kid drew himself sleeping in bed between mom and dad and labeled it 'safe.'
In Japan, this exact sleeping arrangement has a name. They call it 'the river.' Mother is one bank. Father is the other. The child between them is the water. Roughly 70% of Japanese mothers sleep this way with their kids, sometimes through the teenage years. The Western model of putting a kid alone in their own bedroom is barely 200 years old. For most of human history, in most cultures still alive today, kids slept beside their parents.
James McKenna runs the Mother-Baby Behavioral Sleep Lab at Notre Dame. He spent decades watching what happens when parents and kids share a bed. The bodies sync up. Heart rates align with the parent's, breathing falls into the same rhythm, and by morning even sleep stages have started matching. The parent's body, in McKenna's words, acts as a kind of biological jumper cable for the child's.
In 2013, researchers in the Netherlands tracked 193 babies through the first year of life. They measured cortisol, the brain's main stress hormone. Babies who had spent more weeks co-sleeping in the first six months produced less cortisol under stress at 12 months. Sleeping near a parent had rewired the kid's stress system to be calmer under pressure.
Inside the kid's brain at night, the amygdala, the fear alarm, gets more sensitive as the body gets tired. Darkness makes it worse. A 2021 paper in PLoS One from Australian researchers showed that light directly suppresses amygdala activity. Lights off, alarm louder. The whole brain is wired to read 'alone in a dark room' as a threat.
Now add a parent's body to that bed. The kid's nervous system reads warm body, breathing nearby, familiar smell. The threat alarm dials down. Two parents on either side dial it down twice. The drawing is the kid's brain calculating maximum safety: I am surrounded by the people who keep me alive, and nothing can reach me without going through them first.
The arrangement in this drawing is what most of human history called 'sleeping.' Sleeping the kid alone in another room is a 200-year-old Western invention that we forgot was an invention. Every kid who has ever padded into your room at 3am and crawled into the middle of the bed is just trying to redraw the picture.
We live in a world where attempting to bring food and medicine to people surviving a genocide is considered terrorism, but actually DOING the genocide is not.
The major reason why the world is now a terrifying, lawless place without rules or norms EXCEPT the rule that "might is right", is that the Gaza GENOCIDE has taken place for over 2 years: day after day, in plain sight of the world, murder, starvation, destruction WITH IMPUNITY
There has been over 100 air strikes on Lebanon by Israel today. This is after Trump said the ceasefire includes Lebanon. Who’s in charge? Doesn’t look like the United States is.
i do not care if Trump's comments result in nothing tonight. no one who even thinks of saying the phrase "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" should be allowed to operate an ice cream stand, nevermind the most powerful office on the planet
It is very easy to become accustomed to Trump’s ravings, and laugh them off. That’s a dangerous thing to do.
When Trump states: “A whole civilization will die tonight,” he is threatening to commit genocide.
We can’t allow that to happen. Congress must end this war NOW.
