🌳 A historic milestone for the Amazon!

Today, at Brazil’s National Congress, members of Parliamentarians for a Fossil-Free Future officially delivered the report “Protecting Our Planet’s Heart: Parliamentarian’s Roadmap to a Fossil-Free Amazon” to representatives of the Brazilian government.

This document, the result of over a year of parliamentary inquiry, lays out concrete proposals to halt fossil fuel expansion in the Amazon and to build a just, equitable energy transition for its peoples and ecosystems.

A solo un mes de realizarse la V Cumbre de Presidentes de los Estados Parte del Tratado de Cooperación Amazónica (TCA) en la ciudad de Bogotá, le hacemos un llamado a @LenAmazonas Ministra del Medio Ambiente y a @ryvillavicencio nueva Canciller, para que aprieten el acelerador porque no han llevado a cabo ni siquiera el primer diálogo amazónico como lo mandan los 116 puntos del acuerdo de Belém do Pará.

La desorganización no puede ser el sello que Colombia le muestre al mundo. El Gobierno de Colombia, como país anfitrión debe garantizar que esta cumbre presidencial surta los efectos que los ambientalistas del mundo esperamos de ella y es que este bloque se le pare fuerte en la negociación de la COP30 a los países del Norte Global.
