”Other people see you changing systems to be more equitable and inclusive. And they become inspired by the work that you’re doing and then may want to join, too.” @katricequitter explains how small shifts in thinking can build capacity for equity work.

When football is on, Vivian usually asks where all the girls are. Today I could answer, “She’s right there, number 32, her name is Sarah.”

Why do you qualify educators taking care of themselves with the caveat ‘to give your best to others’?

Educators, we must learn to put ourselves first when it comes to self care. Hard stop.

One thing I will miss when I return to work on Friday....

Listening to my children ‘hoot’ back and forth like cryolophasauruses. 💕

[Julie Neff @dindinjamjam]

A lesson I keep having to relearn...

Replace this: I’m so tired but I ‘should’ just keep moving. If I think about something else I won’t feel as tired.

With this: I’m so tired, I’m going to listen to my body and rest. My well-being is vital and must be prioritized.
