Here’s the full story.

When the attacker reached out, I expected chaos. Instead, I met someone absurdly skilled, weirdly honest, and surprisingly open about why he did it.

He’s from Russia.
And his “job” is running a full stresser service - hundreds of servers across data centers, custom built browsers with Rust, distributed load generators, all built and managed by him.
At one point he even had 479 attacks running in parallel for different customers.

He walked me through how he bypassed multiple layers of protection at @dodopayments.
He showed me the tooling he built.
He explained how he tests hundreds of sites at once.

No ransom. No extortion.
Just….. “I don’t like weak security and I wanted to push you.”

And honestly, he did push us. Hard.
We spent 48 hours fixing gaps we didn’t know existed.
He pointed out where we were strong and where we weren’t.
He even shared suggestions on how to harden the stack further.

The wildest part?
What started as an attack turned into a conversation about infra, security, and resilience.

Internet is a strange place.
But sometimes the people trying to break you end up making you stronger.

I honestly believe that the main issue with the Apple Vision Pro is not the price

Its that some twitter people just don’t like Apple. Its fine, just admit it

Other headsets have charged the same price tag and more. No massive rise in concern, No one came for the Microsoft Halolens 2, its still available for purchase too

The same people who are magically concerned about the VR market all of a sudden, were not even talking about a Meta Quest 3 when it released last October, just 4 short months ago

Yall were too busy arguing about phones 😂, jocking back and forth about the iPhone 15, Galaxy S23, and Pixel 8.

Where were the meta quest conversations? Non existent

Meta’s own marketing was terrible by your standards

At a certain point get over yourself, admit you don’t like a certain company and just move on

Instead people are championing a product they had zero cares about because Apple decided to make a headset

I can respect the experience of those who have tried both products, but the loudest opinions are coming from those who have never worn a headset period

If Apple didn’t make the Vision Pro no one would be talking about the meta quest 3. It would just be another easily forgotten tech product in the tech news cycle

Meta Quest fan boys should be excited that the Vision Pro exists because more people will buy a Quest simply because of Apple. Even Mark Zuckerberg admitted it would help bring more exposure to the Quest

If the Vision Pro disappears tomorrow, so would all of your enthusiasm for a quest because you didn’t give a damn about one before February 2 😂
