Why most DTC brands waste money on static ads
and the fix that actually works in 2026.
they overcomplicate the creative
instead of focusing on customer beliefs.
the winning static is almost always the cleanest one
with a strong headline.
Real example:
one simple static i made pulled
$110,494 revenue
$46,852 spend
1,083 purchases
2.36x ROAS
2.14% CTR
Focus on 3 things:
belief-driven hook
clean visual
clear offer
test volume matters more than perfect design.
if you're running a DTC brand and want this kind of creative on your account, DM open.
100% agree. I work with a few supplement brands and Claude has been getting way too restrictive lately. Even when I clearly say it’s for learning/research, it still blocks a lot of simple ad copy requests.
Same prompt in Chatgpt and I usually get a much more useful answer. Right now Chatgpt feels better for ad copies.
This Gruns ad is one of my top favourite ads to study. and this ad is the reason why i believe that simple statics always win.
see the headline "Ozempic’s New Bestie", this immidiately tells you who the ad is for.
and the best part is subheadline, it hits with 2 very specific propblems, one is Bloating and another is constipation.
this ad simply built around:
the right product + the right pain point + the right persona.
and look at the comments, there customers are literally adding more use cases and social proofs themeselves.
what if feel is when the product + marketing is good, then your customers start doing part of the advertsising for you.
@gethookdai This is why I like simple statics.
Menopause? instantly filters the right audience.
Then “Your cells are changing too” opens the problem,
and the benefits explain the solution.
Clear audience + clear problem + clear payoff.
BOF ads are having a moment right now.
not the pretty top-of-funnel concepts
the ugly, urgent, offer-driven ones
that convert warm audiences at 3-5x the cold rate.
made this one for a supplement brand last month
GLP-1 side effect formula
running in the race as their top spender right now.
