@blk_amanda @rachbarnhart It’s the healthcare equivalent of if I told you that rather than paying your taxes, I could give you airline status, and not only that, everyone would applaud you while you got on the plane first for your first class seat. And we’d throw a luncheon saying the airline needs you.
@blk_amanda @rachbarnhart So this is exactly it though. Wealthy donors frame this as altruistic giving. They get lauded and celebrated and headlines. But they also know they are making a purchase that lowers their tax bill. They deduct charitable giving, get seen as the hero, and get to cut the line....
