@_Kristine_A My 14 yo just got her first debit card and it is funny. She went out with friends and asked me multiple times before she left if she is supposed to tap it, insert it, or slide it.
@HendrixKomoto I'm glad you found something. Yesterday I was looking through the census data for Cassia county in 1870, 1880, and 1890. In 1870 there were 0 Black people in Cassia, in 1880 there were also 0, and in 1890 there was one.
Look what showed up in my mailbox today. I have a chapter in here on polygamy and the law. Everyone is going to want this collection. It is amazing. @signaturebooks@clbrunobiv
@seagulljaap My top three books this year:

2) Lincoln Highway
3) September Six and the Struggle for the soul of Mormonism
@jkimballcook As a sex crimes prosecutor, this is especially true. Perpetrators use it to shift blame away from themselves. It also allows families of perpetrators to do the same, blaming porn, rather than the abuser. It is a very dangerous line of thinking.
This is the best book I have read this year. 5 stars. It is so much more than a history of the six disciplined in 1993. Rather, it really looks at the church’s dealings with feminists, intellectuals, and LGBTQ+ @signaturebooks@SaraMPatterson
Good news x2 today. First, I just had an article accepted by the Utah Historical Quarterly. Second, a chapter I wrote is finally in print and in my hands.
