For most of my life, the Nuggets have been brutal to root for — always rebuilding with just short spurts of fun. And now this. NBA Finals. With a two-time MVP, Jamal freaking Murray, AG, KCP, and MPJ. I love THIS team.
Tick Tock --> How Trump put the Senate in play
- Picked JD Vance as his running mate, opening up tough expensive special election that GOP could lose. DeWine appointed Husted, who originally wanted to run for governor. Close race that wouldn't have been up til '28 otherwise
- Tangled with Tillis over healthcare cuts in 2025, prompting his retirement. Thune said then Tillis "knew how to run and win in North Carolina." Trump cleared field for Whatley, who is down by large margin.
- Cold-shouldered Cornyn then backed Paxton. Cornyn: “Texas was an unforced error, I think, on the part of the president... if I won the nomination, then that would be a layup in November. That’s all off the table.”
- Backed Sen. Darline Graham in crowded SC race, most senators thought she'd be an interim senator. Now in toss-up race against Annie Andrews with state GOP divided. Andrews: "Darline was going to be easier for me.”
- Tried to oust Kemp in '22; when Georgia race came up this cycle, Kemp passed on the race. Trump backed Rep. Mike Collins over Kemp's pick Dooley, now huge underdog to Sen. Ossoff
- Tariffs, filibuster pressure and of course, the Iran War: “Every negative for the GOP this cycle is a downstream effect of Iran"

She didn't think this through. It's hard to watch this clip and come to any other conclusion. She made a snap decision and is just kinda...doing it live. Once again, saying nothing is an underrated skill.
There’s nothing “gutsy” about endorsing someone you told everyone you were working to defeat up to just a day ago.
Nothing about either candidate has changed. El-Sayed is not worse—and Rogers is not better—than a week ago, a month ago, or a year ago.
It’s either a long con, an intemperate decision, or a disconnect from reality.
Jeremy Moss, running to succeed Stevens: “We don't have to agree on everything. It would be silly if we agreed on everything…We have to build a wide coalition. I would rather debate our disagreements in a democratic institution than one that has been eroded by Trump and Rogers.”
It’s a small movement but Moore does start to move backwards before the snap. It’s the right call. He tries to play it off like he’s turning to the QB.
El-Sayed: At the end of the day, I actually don't think about Haley Stevens. Because you know what? I'm just less interested in the politics of it all than I am in the policy of it all…
If you are somebody who believes that we should stand up to hate, and you have watched this last campaign, I think we probably would not want to support Mike Rogers and Donald Trump and JD Vance. If you're somebody who believes that we need more health care, not less than you probably don't want to vote for the guy who voted to raise prescription drug prices or keep them high 19 times and takes money from big pharma and big insurance. If you're somebody who believes in public education, you probably do not want to support the guy who architected the initial legislation in 1999 that ended up stripping local control from Detroit public schools and the local community. If you're somebody who believes that you should have a right to a union, you probably don't want to support the guy who busts unions. So I'm just saying that the principles that we believe in as Democrats are really quite clear. I stand for all of them.
BREAKING: A judge in Alaska has thrown out the Trump administration's lawsuit seeking to delay certification of the Senate election if GOP incumbent Dan Sullivan loses.

Haley Stevens can vote for whoever she wants, but her unhinged last couple of days means her whole primary campaign was a lie. In July, she called @MikeRogersForMI a:
- "carpetbagger millionaire"
- "a super-rich Florida man"
- "a fake"
- And that Trump is "who he answers to".
Even for what Haley Stevens is trying to do, this is incoherent and insane.
If Abdul were to lose, now *you* get blamed instead of him/progressiveism/whatever.
So, instead, we just need Abdul to win so she can be forgotten forever.
Ironically if El-Sayed loses it will now be much harder to blame his progressivism since people can just blame Haley Stevens instead. I'm not saying that's right, I'm not saying that's wrong, but that's how the intraparty D debate is likely to go.
I am very mad at Haley Stevens whose staff is now all appropriately quitting on her but the margin is still gonna be the margin and El-Sayed will either run ahead of House Dems in their districts or he won’t.
It’s truly insane that over the Trump era where the GOP fully gave in to white nationalism, turned the government into a 3rd world kleptocracy and instigated a sacking of the capitol and I can’t think of a single GOP primary loser who endorsed the Democrat?
