For the first time, OKX has made Pi available to millions of people in the US through its platform, adding another access point to the Pi ecosystem for US users.
Pi continues to expand its global network of Pioneers and partners, and strengthen ecosystem participation, utility, and real user adoption across the world.
More users. More usage. Stronger network
Reminder: All Mainnet nodes are required to complete the Protocol 23 upgrade by May 15, 2026 to remain connected to the network. This upgrade takes longer to complete, so please plan ahead.

Pi Founder Nicolas Kokkalis spoke today at Consensus 2026 Miami on the panel, “How to Prove You’re Human in an AI World (Without Doxing Yourself).”
The discussion focused on one of the most urgent challenges in the AI era: how to maintain trust and verify real human identity as AI systems become capable of generating convincing bots, profiles, and interactions at scale.
Stay tuned for the full video!
Pi is tackling one of the most urgent problems in the AI era: proving real human identity online.
Pi Founder Nicolas Kokkalis will speak on a panel at Consensus 2026 on Thursday, May 7, from 10:15-10:45 AM EDT at the Convergence Stage.
The session, “How to Prove You're Human in an AI World (Without Doxing Yourself),” explores how the internet’s trust model is breaking as AI systems become capable of creating bots that can generate profiles and interact like real users.
At the core of the discussion is a simple challenge: how do you verify a real human online without exposing private identity data?
Want to know how? Join us in Miami on May 7th!
See you there!
To open the Testnet subscription smart contract to technical review and community feedback, Pi has released the second Pi Request for Comment (PiRC2).
Developers are encouraged to try integrating subscriptions in their own apps, review the subscription contract design, and test for bugs or edge cases, if any.

The Pi Founders will both take the stage as speakers at the Consensus 2026 conference!
Dr. Chengdiao Fan will deliver a presentation exploring how Pi’s blockchain infrastructure, verified identity, and globally engaged network can support utility-driven products and AI-era business models.

Pi’s first smart contract capability is now live on Testnet: subscriptions!
This fosters real, recurring, utility-driven use cases.
Think e-commerce, streaming, online tools, and more, powered on-chain.

There are over 18 million identity-verified users on Pi.
But there is one clear difference between Pi’s users and others.
1 million verified users on Pi ≠ 1 million users on other networks.
Most networks measure growth in accounts.
Few measure it in verified users.
There’s a difference.
Pi recognized the importance of identity verification early on and that unverified account creation is simply not enough. Verified identities are needed for any meaningful transactions, especially in real-world economies.
Any time an asset (like crypto, fiat currency, property, etc.) is transferred, it raises a basic question of identity: who is sending it, and who is receiving it. If those identities aren’t clear, it becomes difficult to trust that the transfer is valid or that it went to the right person.
Therefore, Pi Network has built a fully KYC-verified Mainnet ecosystem.
Because when users are verified:
Spam drops.
Trust increases.
Utility becomes more reliable.
Consensus Miami is getting a slice of Pi!
Pi Founder Chengdiao Fan will speak at Consensus 2026 on Wednesday, May 6, from 11:15–11:35 AM EDT at the Convergence Stage.
As AI dramatically lowers the barriers to building products, competition increasingly centers on authentic data, user acquisition, and trusted human participation.
Chengdiao’s presentation will explore how Pi’s blockchain infrastructure, verified identity, and globally engaged network can support utility‑driven products and AI‑era business models.
The session presents a fresh perspective on crypto tokens not as exits, but as tools for sustainable growth and real‑world adoption.
See you all there!
To complete first or second migrations, Pioneers must set up Pi Wallet two-factor authentication (2FA) through Step 3 of the Mainnet Checklist.
This step is required to further strengthen account and wallet security before real Pi is transferred, an irreversible and immutable blockchain transaction.
To complete 2FA, Pioneers may need to add a trusted email address if one has not been set up yet.
Pi Network is excited to announce that second migrations have started and will continue with a gradual rollout, opening the door for Pioneers to bring additional Pi to Mainnet and further participate in the ecosystem! While second migrations roll out, first migrations for eligible Pioneers will continue as normal.
To be eligible for migrations, Pioneers must set up Pi Wallet two-factor authentication (2FA) through the Mainnet Checklist Step 3. This may include adding a trusted email address to their accounts if not set up yet. 2FA is enforced before migrations to enhance wallet security because transfers on the blockchain are irreversible and immutable.
Second migrations will also include referral mining bonuses attributable to Referral Team members who fully passed KYC. Pioneers should therefore remind their Referral Teams to complete KYC so these bonuses can be migrated.

The .pi Domains Auction continues to see strong engagement across the Pi ecosystem. Recent updates include a new statistics page showing domains with the most bids, highest price, and recent trending bids. https://t.co/Xzk6zd9XKD
The Auction is also now a Pi app instead of being embedded in Pi Wallet, enabling the deployment of more features. .pi Domains are meant to be functional Web3 identifiers for apps that are existing within the Pi ecosystem, and the Auction will evolve in parallel with the rollout of tools that support the ecosystem, which are being worked on and will be announced soon.
Remember to only use the Pi Wallet in the Pi Browser at exactly "https://t.co/VZxCSf4jD5” in order to safeguard your Pi. Learn more: https://t.co/g0AkxVRgkc
The authentic Pi Wallet is visually identified by a purple color in the navigation bar of the Pi Browser with a Pi logo featuring the Core Team apps logo. Caution—scammers may create fake Pi Wallet pages that appear the same as the authentic Pi Wallet on the Pi Browser but with misleading URLs to steal Pioneers' passphrase data and empty their Pi accounts. Since the Pi Browser is a browser like Chrome or Safari, it's ultimately up to the individual Pioneer to determine the safety and legitimacy of the sites and URLs they visit. Beware of scams using fake websites, fake emails, and misleading ads that imitate the Pi Wallet or Core Team members.
The Mainnet app list in the Mainnet Ecosystem Interface does not include all Mainnet and Mainnet-ready Pi apps, as selection is limited based on Pi ecosystem policies and guidelines. There are many more third party Pi apps that are not listed here. Some third-party Pi apps that serve as a directory of Pi Mainnet apps may display more or even all Mainnet apps, so Pioneers can reference those for a broader view of available apps.

Pi Network is adding email-based two-factor authentication to the overall account management and verification. https://t.co/mppVnNAmqP
This change addresses challenges with current SMS (text message) account verification, improves security, and lays the groundwork for future verification methods like passkeys and biometrics. To ensure a secure shift, system level analytics and checks were required to validate how Pioneers verify their accounts using the new method, which led to a temporary pause in migrations. Migrations have now resumed and will gradually expand. Read the full blog for more information about the update and how it benefits the network in the long term.
