That moment Arne Slot went and sat in the dugout by himself explains it all now.
He knew his time was up but, he knew it was a day for the two legends to say goodbye. It was their moment.
I do hate that he’s suffered the toxicity of an emotional season, so it’s only right we applaud him for his efforts at the club and what he gave us!
He’s still helped provide us a platform for next season, and it’s the right decision for someone else to take us through it.
I remember not talking to my then partner over a very little misunderstanding.
We didn’t speak for a whole day. I was crashing out while all he cared about was a Barca match.
I finally summoned the courage to call because I couldn’t bear it anymore. All he said was, “I’m not angry with you, I’m actually fine.”
And I felt so bad because… what do you mean you’re fine?
He broke up with me almost immediately after, over nothing. It was so easy for him. Very easy.
God forbid I marry a man who chooses silence over communication. It feels like emotional abuse. As someone with severe anxiety, silence automatically makes me feel hated or unwanted because how can you say you love someone and still shut them out completely?
People who give silent treatment don’t always realize how deeply it hurts others. There are certain things we really need to unlearn, not because it’s convenient, but because we shouldn’t unintentionally hurt the people we claim to love.
It's with sorrow to announce the passing of Late Hon. kunle Jenrade who has since been buried according to his religious rites.
May God grant him eternal rest.
Nigeria’s Oil Minister (then known as Federal Commissioner), 35 year old Colonel @MBuhari being welcomed by Saudi Oil Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamani, to an OPEC Meeting on Friday, May 5, 1978, in the Saudi city of Taif.
Imagine dying because the funds meant for equipment upgrades and maintenance have been diverted and if you ask questions you get dismissed..
What a democracy 👏
If you still think this is how to run a nation, you need a huge check... While senior military officers are not spared, we have a leadership that's more concerned with frivolities and mundane visits,we can not be well and it's a shit show of shame..
Interestingly, 2015 and 2016 were pre-recession and recession years respectively, following the great oil price crash of 2014.
2016 was also the year of Mark Zuckerberg’s very enthusiastic/inspiring visit to Abuja and Lagos.
@ProfOsinbajo called it, back then… (“A new day…”)
Kuda laid off hundreds of employees this week in a restructuring exercise
19 of 40 marketing employees alone were let go on a video call with no prior warning. The company says it is not a financial decision and their numbers actually look better than ever. Losses dropped from $35 million to $5.8 million in one year.
They were profitable and still let people go. Good performance does not protect your job, always remember that employment is a contract that either party can end.
Oga Jarus posted this on Twitter and a conversation started. For some high paying firms. What you study doesn't matter.
Just graduate well.
Some of these firms will rather shortlist a graduate of CRK with a 2.1 than an economics graduate with a 2.2.
Once you get the job, you can build your trajectory from there.
The point I am trying to make is that for some organisations. Your first degree is just a baseline for you to build the career you want.
That's why we have many science graduates who are chartered accountants doing well in accounting, auditing and taxation .
It's why a medical doctor can become the MD of NLNG after extensive experience in the oil sector.
Lagos showed me pepper.
No job wey I never try.
One time, I worked for a firm that verifies addresses for banks, you open an account, they send people like me to confirm your house.
Simple idea, brutal execution.
They gave us long lists, targets every day, and if you no meet am, problem.
I stopped using transport, fare would finish my salary, so I trekked.
Miles, under sun, under rain.
Imagine verifying 200 to 300 houses in two days, some days I covered Island and Mainland in one run, 50 to 100 houses in a day.
If you know Lagos, you know that's madness. But I did it.
Because sometimes, survival no dey ask for comfort, it asks for stamina.
