thrilled to announce that my work, 'Reason To Rise,' has been selected (from a total of 287 entries) as one of the top 10 artworks to be exhibited in NYC on May 22–23!!!😭
huge thanks to all the juries, the @exchgART team & @SolanaCollectiv for this amazing oportunity! ✨
Just found out our daughter was recommended by her teacher to audition for a performance dance crew 💃
You can do anything with persistence, practice, and courage
LFG! Insanely proud and my inspiration every day
People of my heart, I invite you to see a bit of my process.
"CRIA" emerged from my constant habit of sketching faces, a practice that feels almost second nature in my sketchbook. Wanting to bring a sense of unity to this series, I chose to work only with my fountain pen.
@solanapoet My sibling had this experience! Parents denied that they needed any medication and heavily controlled it to the point of not giving it most days despite it being prescribed. Now as an adult, have had to be re-assessed for adhd, and focus greatly benefits from being medicated.
@xalfsyr Sending you all the love!! The mental and emotional strength it takes to make it through something like cancer is unparalleled. Just know that even on the hardest day, there are people here rooting for your recovery! 💜💜💜
Teaching my daughter to read and write letters and basic math has been so healing for me. I am so grateful to be able to support her in the ways that I needed when I was her same age.
Believe in something
On a truly permissionless network like Solana, it's up to us - the community - to self regulate and reject bad actors.
In practice, this means not giving attention and capital to tourists and extractors. Instead -- invest in founders, communities, and products that add value and genuinely innovate.
Extraction from projects like Libra remind me of the end of the 2021 Solana NFT boom - but isn't unique to Solana. Ethereum had its ICO scams too. In both cases, these growing pains don't make the underlying tech or community bad.
I'm confident the Solana ecosystem will figure it out, and will be stronger for it. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger - but please don't kill YOURSELVES. That's essentially what you're doing when you support these projects IMO.
Instead, focus on people building cool shit. With more sensible US regulations coming, I'm hopeful we'll see renewed focus on utility tokens and RWAs. Love seeing @jupiterexchange and @RaydiumProtocol already experimenting with buybacks and forms of revenue sharing - creating real economic alignment between businesses and communities.
The Solana ecosystem is massive now, and I'm pumped to see the product growth overall. Cool DeFi products like @uselulo and @deficarrot's stablecoin yield aggregators and @perena's stablecoin pools. A fire perps aggregator from @ranger_finance.
DePINs like @Hivemapper and hardware like @solanamobile challenging tech giant incumbents, or @Gradient_HQ and @kuzco_xyz incentivizing decentralized compute. Sick games like @nyanheroes and @br1infinite.
Creators making a living through @drip_haus, @mallowdotart, and @foster_protocol. Real-world payments via @kast_official. Seamless fiat bridges from @sphere_labs and @fusewallet. Even Franklin Templeton using the network for tokenized money market funds.
There's nothing bad about trading inherently. The step function increase in mobile onboarding is a delight from apps like @moonshot. And the network UX has improved immensely thanks to the hard work of engineers at @anza_xyz, @jito_labs, and @jump_firedancer.
A few extractors doesn't have to make or break us as a community - but we have a lot of work to do. Yes have fun trading, but maybe stop idolizing making it in 15 minutes and recognize the people working their asses off to further the industry and making great apps.
TDLR: support cracked founders, not extractors. BELIEVE IN SOMETHING.
