Dalit Journalist Lakhan Salvi was beaten in Gogunda, Udaipur last week. He had injuries over his neck, face, chest and his head was bleeding. The accused, as per Salvi, is a local stringer, Gopal Lodha who allegedly hit him with a sharp object in his hand while he was covering a story. Salvi claimed that Lodha abused his caste and called him 'neech' at least 15 times. But the accused has denied abusing his caste and filed an FIR against him too.
