@Dearme2_ Call everyone, to have nobody pick up and speed my bike along a narrow road and realize "I need to pick up my own call" and be there for myself ...
A guy from Germany who was part of a secretive cult taught me an exercise in 2017 to overcome this.
The exercise was simple:
Read a piece of material that is completely new to you, preferably on a subject you know little or nothing about. After finishing a chapter, write down what you understood from it. The catch is that you are not allowed to use the same terminology, analogies, or examples used in the text. You have to come up with your own.
It is probably the closest one can get to genuine understanding, as opposed to raw mechanical reading.
@umzrs Nah it depends on what kind of parents you have, whether they're supportive all the time or argumentative, whether you feel healthy living with them or feel like you're mind's gonna be blown. Generalizations feel nice to read.
@AlpacaAurelius negative thoughts are just energy. you do need to understand this energy in order to transform it. you cannot bypass your negative thoughts into positive ones, can you?
@Arpitayadavv a) moody
b) wants outward experssion for fun
c) can't stay silent/quiet/peaceful
d) smoker's mind always looks for the next hit (doesn't matter what gender)
Lying of any kind is karmic and harmful to the higher selves of everyone around you
I am completely honest to the people around me and I expect the same from them
Why do you care if the ego gets hurt?
a place can be incredibly beautiful, and still not right for you
and when that's true, it will leave you cold
the same is true of people
you know when you know
