Today, we celebrate fathers who stand as pillars of strength and support through all of life’s triumphs and challenges.
We recognise the vital role you all play in forging a stronger society and in upholding strong family values.
Thank you for your role in building stronger communities and a more prosperous nation. Happy Father’s Day.
Yesterday, alongside my team, I paid a courtesy visit to the Iyaloja-General, Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo.
Our discussion focused on how to encourage our young market men and women to take advantage of INEC's ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) as part of efforts to promote active participation and inclusion of young people in our political process.
I thank Iyaloja for her invaluable words of wisdom, encouragement, and prayers.
I look forward to strengthening our collaboration with her office and working more closely with market women across the state in our shared commitment to the prosperity of our communities.
ONGOING RECOVERY OF STOLEN/VANDALISED RAILWAY MATERIALS IN KADUNA
The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) @info_NRC commends the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( @NSCDCrops ) for the successful operation that led to the recovery of stolen and vandalised railway track materials at Birnin Yaro Factory, Kaduna, on 6th June 2026.
Following the operation, truckloads of recovered railway materials are currently being transported back to the NRC railway yard for proper inventory, safekeeping, and further investigation.
This recovery is a significant step in the ongoing fight against the vandalisation of critical national railway infrastructure. Railway materials are strategic national assets essential for safe and efficient train operations and should never be treated as scrap.
The Corporation reiterates its zero-tolerance stance against railway vandalism and warns individuals and criminal networks involved in the theft, purchase, or processing of railway materials to desist immediately or face the full weight of the law.
NRC remains committed to working closely with security agencies and communities to protect railway assets across the country and ensure the safety and sustainability of rail transportation in Nigeria.

Today, I join the good people of Ondo State, the Yoruba nation, and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating an extraordinary statesman, exemplary patriot, revered Awoist and leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, CFR, OFR, as he marks the remarkable milestone of his 100th birthday.
Baba's attainment of the age of one hundred is not only a rare divine blessing, but also a celebration of a life devoted to service, truth, courage, and humanity. His life journey remains a shining testimony to disciplined leadership, integrity, and enduring dedication to societal. progress.
As one of the founding fathers of Ondo State, Pa Fasoranti played a historic role in the agitation and movement that culminated in the creation of our dear state in 1976. His sacrifices, alongside those of other progressive leaders of that era, laid the foundation for the development identity, and growth we proudly enjoy today.
Baba has remained a towering voice in national development, democratic struggles, educational advancement, and the preservation of the cherished values of the Yoruba people. His courage, wisdom, simplicity, and steadfast commitment to justice continue to inspire generations of leaders.
At one hundred, Baba remains a symbol of honour, resilience, and selfless service. His life embodies the finest ideals of the Omoluabi ethos and the progressive tradition for which our people are renowned.
As we celebrate this historic centenary milestone, I pray that Almighty God will continue to bless Baba with peace, sound health, strength, and abiding joy. May his enduring legacy continue to guide our state and nation towards unity, peace, and lasting prosperity.

This young man has taken advantage of that provision, which gives individuals, businesses, estates, factories, and communities the ability to generate up to 1 megawatt (1MW) of electricity without obtaining a license from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
As a stakeholder in the sector, this could be another opportunity for the government to reduce its over-dependency on the national grid.
Kudos to this young man, he has surely gotten the grip on his house network, with a proper metering and monitoring system for his neighbours.

Today in Lagos, I joined other leaders and delegates of our great party, the APC, at the South-West Zonal Congress a gathering that once again demonstrated our strength, unity and commitment to democratic ideals.
I warmly congratulate , Dr Isaac Kekemeke, on his well-deserved re-election as the National Vice Chairman (South-West). His unanimous return is a clear endorsement of the impactful leadership he has provided over the past four years. I am confident that under his continued guidance, our party in the South-West will only grow stronger and more united.
The smooth, peaceful and orderly conduct of the congress, with over 1,300 delegates in attendance, is a proud moment for our zone. It reflects the discipline, maturity and internal cohesion that set the South-West apart as a model within our party and across the nation.
I commend all delegates for their patience, dedication and loyalty, as well as the party leadership, INEC officials and the media for ensuring a transparent and credible process.

IFTAR
Yesterday, I broke fast with our Muslim brothers and sisters at The Dome a moment of reflection in the spirit of Ramadan.
I also formally reopened the Central Mosque in Ikare, bringing closure to longstanding issues. I commend the Olukare, the Grand Mufti, and the Chief Imam for their roles in restoring peace.
Ramadan teaches peace, love, and compassion. I urge all residents, regardless of faith, to embrace unity our diversity is our strength.
As Ramadan aligns with Lent, we are reminded of our shared values of faith and sacrifice.
We remain committed to fairness, inclusiveness, and good governance.
On security, we will not relent. Stay vigilant and report suspicious activities.
Together, we move Ondo State forward.
Ramadan Kareem.
Following my visit to the @IITA_CGIAR in Ibadan on 5th February 2026 to explore collaboration opportunities, I am happy to report that the engagement has translated into action as we formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute and launched the Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund today.
This milestone marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for young Nigerians within the agricultural sector. Through this partnership, the Ministry will leverage the network of 42 National Youth Development Centres across the country as Agriculture Hubs, providing integrated spaces for training, production, innovation, and market access. These hubs will support the objectives of our “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative, creating clear pathways for young people to transition from training into sustainable agribusiness and employment opportunities.
The programme is also designed to address one of the most pressing challenges facing young people who wish to venture into agriculture — access to land. Through the Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund and the strategic collaboration with IITA, we are laying the foundation for young Nigerians to gain modern agricultural knowledge, explore value-chain opportunities, and adopt climate-smart agricultural practices that will enable them build competitive and sustainable agribusiness enterprises.
Agriculture remains one of Nigeria’s most powerful tools for economic diversification, food security, and wealth creation. By strengthening partnerships between government, research institutions, and the private sector, we are positioning young Nigerians not merely as beneficiaries but as drivers of innovation, productivity, and transformation within the agricultural ecosystem.
From a productive engagement in Ibadan to the formalisation of a national initiative in Abuja, this partnership reflects our commitment to ensuring that Nigeria’s youth are equipped with the skills, resources, and opportunities required to shape the future of agriculture and contribute meaningfully to national development.
I therefore call on young Nigerians, whether those who have already signed up for our youth in agriculture initiatives or those newly interested, to seize this opportunity. The future of agriculture in Nigeria will be shaped by innovation, enterprise, and youthful energy. This programme is designed to provide the skills, access, and support needed to succeed. I encourage my fellow young people to step forward, take advantage of these platforms, and become active contributors to Nigeria’s food security and economic prosperity.

A person with a past can touch a God in the present to change the future! The question I want you to consider is: "Has God raised you up for such a time as this?”
Could it be that all the things you have gone through have been to position and equip you as a child of His Kingdom “for such a time as this?” (Esther 4)
Like Esther, it is your time. I proclaim that God is positioning and promoting you, right now!
Today, we took practical steps to further strengthen healthcare delivery, security operations and the efficiency of our civil service in Ondo State.
At the Government House in Akure, I commissioned 10 ambulances, 10 patrol vehicles for our security agencies, and presented official cars to our newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.
Healthcare delivery, to us, goes beyond policy statements and the construction of hospital buildings. It is about ensuring access to genuine, quality drugs and providing prompt transportation to medical facilities when emergencies arise. With these ambulances, including advanced life-support units, we are improving our emergency response capacity and ensuring that victims of accidents or health emergencies are swiftly evacuated to hospitals.
Our pharmaceutical supply chain continues to guarantee unadulterated drugs, while ongoing road projects across the State will further reduce travel time. Working with local governments, we are also strengthening access to primary healthcare in rural communities.
On security, I appreciate Sunbeth Global Concept, led by Olasunkanmi Owoeye, for the donation of 10 Toyota Hilux vehicles to support our security architecture. These vehicles will be deployed to the Police, Civil Defence, the Military, the Air Force, Airport Services and the Anti-Land-Grabbing Task Force to enhance rapid response and public safety.
I also handed over official vehicles to our Permanent Secretaries. Our civil servants remain the engine room of government, and it is important that we continue to motivate excellence through proper support and incentives. These vehicles are to be used strictly for official purposes in service to our people.
We remain committed to building a safer, healthier and more efficient Ondo State for all.
Today, I presented the 2026 Budget of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development before the Joint Committee on Youth Development at the National Assembly. Our proposal reflects a strong focus on capital investment to sustain youth empowerment programmes nationwide.
I briefed the session on our achievements in 2025, including the expansion of the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA), the launch of NIYA Gig and NIYA Startup, the provision of startup grants to over 300 young Nigerians, the creation of 5,000 jobs in the data privacy sector in collaboration with the Nigerian Data Protection Commission, and the resolution of over 6,000 cases through the Youth HelpDesk.
Despite a progressive reduction in budgetary allocation, our commitment remains firm. We are rehabilitating Youth Development Centres across the country, strengthening digital skills partnerships, and advocating for a structured 15% youth development funding framework at national and state levels. Investing in young people is not optional; it is strategic. With sustained legislative support and improved funding releases, we will continue transforming the potential of Nigerian youth into measurable national growth.
