I’m an SWE who hasn’t written syntax directly in ~6 months.

The passion didn’t die, the abstraction moved.

AI coding = parallel problem-solving at much higher speed. Inevitable shift, and a good one.

The edge is steering the model. For future SWE: learn how systems work

This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.

@flybigairlines back to back 2 experiences within a span of a few months - absolutely worst! Its sad to see new airlines providing terrible sub standard service just because they are sole carrier for a remote airport.
I can predict such business going down soon.

@cricbuzz I do appreciate the effort behind the new logo. The cricket ball goes with the overall theme. But you can spot the UX issue when you see the icon in a vast list of other icons - the cricket ball can be easily mistaken for pending notifications

Long ago I asked a Sr leader @ Google why Larry picked Sundar as CEO. Apparently it wasn't coz Sundar was smartest, most visionary etc. At one pt other leaders just couldn't agree w/ each other unless he was there to mediate. Low ego, high EQ is an under-rated leadership quality.
