Designers needs to have basic printing requirements and knowledge .
RGB is for digital screens, like phones, TVs, and computers.
CMYK is for printings like flex banners, flyers, posters, etc.
So, if you design a flex banner in RGB mode and send it for printing,
1.Colors will shift or appear dull.
Bright, vibrant colors often look faded when converted to CMYK.
2.Loss of contrast and vibrancy.
Designs glowing on screen won’t “pop” in print.
3.The printer will automatically convert it to CMYK, but not perfectly, causing some tones may change completely.
✅ Tip:
Always design print materials (like flex banners, posters, business cards, etc.) in CMYK color mode with 300 DPI resolution for best print results.
We have all seen these images of an ultrasound whether in hospital or in movies bring done of pregnant ladies. But why exactly are they done? Here's why.
Ultrasounds may be used at various points during pregnancy, including:
First trimester - ultrasound performed within the first 3 months of pregnancy is used to check that the embryo is developing inside the womb (rather than inside a fallopian tube, for example), confirm the number of embryos, and calculate the gestational age and the baby’s due date.
Second trimester - ultrasound performed between weeks 18 and 20 is used to check the development of fetal structures such as the spine, limbs, brain and internal organs. The size and location of the placenta is also checked. The baby’s sex can be established, if the parents wish to know.
Third trimester - ultrasound performed after 30 weeks is used to check that the baby is continuing to grow at a normal rate. The location of the placenta is checked to make sure it isn’t blocking the cervix.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗠?
A 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗠 (𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲) is simply a message you send to someone you’ve never interacted with before — maybe to introduce yourself, pitch an idea, offer a service, or start a business conversation.
You’re reaching out to someone completely new — sometimes you don’t even know their gender or much about them.
That’s why it’s important to 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲.
Being direct means going straight to the point — clearly stating why you’re reaching out. Don’t pretend you’ve met before or act too familiar. If the person feels like you’re being insincere or overly salesy, they’ll likely end the conversation right away.
𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵
Once you’ve made your intro, the next step is to 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿.
Keep it short and clear. Focus on what you can help them achieve — not a long story about yourself.
After explaining briefly, ask for permission to go deeper. Something like:
“Would you like me to explain how this can help your brand?”
That simple line shows respect and keeps the chat two-sided instead of sounding like a pitch.
While explaining, don’t just talk nonstop. Ask light questions to keep it engaging — things like:
“Can I proceed?”
“Does that make sense?”
“Are you getting my point?”
It keeps the flow human and conversational.
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗽
When they finally ask, “How much do you charge?”, stay calm and confident. Don’t rush or sound unsure.
Present your offer in clear 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
•𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰
•𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱
•𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺
Briefly explain what each one includes and the kind of results they can expect.
Then, end with something open and friendly like:
“Which of these packages fits best within your budget? I’m happy to work with you on any of them — and I’ll make sure you get great results regardless of your choice.”
If you can get to this stage and speak confidently about your service, you already have a strong chance of landing the client.

This is an interesting read
Most designers have trouble balancing solo and team work.
But the truth is, the most impactful work comes when you can think and work in different layers, knowing exactly which people to involve and when:
- Solo
- Product trio
- Product squad
- Cross-functional group
- Wider company
1. Thinking, sketching, and focused design work is mainly done solo, even though it's up to you to include people as much as you want in that process.
2. In key product decisions, discovery, and ideation, you will usually want to involve a product manager, a technical lead, and a researcher if you have the luxury.
3. Planning, design reviews, and implementation discussions should happen with your whole product squad.
4. For big initiatives, your working group should expand to include people from marketing, sales, customer support/success, domain experts, and so on. A cross-functional group that expands beyond a squad is one of the most powerful ways to reduce silos in a business and leverage everyone's collective expertise.
5. Some of your work should be played back to the whole business, both for visibility and to fuel the wider team's understanding of your customers and how you are attempting to solve their problems. This can be through show & tell sessions, Slack announcements, or any other format that works for you and your organization.
The exact shape might look very different depending on your organization's size, design maturity and ways of working.
And the more senior you get, the more natural it will become for you to choose that exact scope and the teams that you need to tap into.
