@ladywestcliffs @servehailey I agree, I think it’s because they’re trying to fit the cast into modern day beauty standards instead of what was actually trendy or considered beautiful back then. I loved the regency era makeup in the 2005 Pride & Prejudice or even in s1 of bridgerton

@servehailey @ladywestcliffs I think they’re referring to the makeup/ styling. The makeup in flowers in the attic is much more subtle and soft as makeup back in the 50s wouldn’t have been as full coverage and advanced as now obviously. The makeup in Bridgerton S2-S3 is very modern and it makes her stand out

@imgonnadoitfr1 @natsreturnn @deepsoap It’s really nice to see healthy strong women skaters that talk about eating sweets and dessert on tv. a lot of young skaters have been taught that starving yourself while also pushing your body to its physical max is the norm and to be expected

@imgonnadoitfr1 @natsreturnn @deepsoap Many coaches & skaters also think that being as tiny and light as you can also increases your speed and requires less force for jumps, spins, etc. mostly it’s just an unrealistic beauty standard enforced by toxic traditions in the figure skating industry.
