My prediction: At least one @MaineDems and one @mainegop who doesn’t take their party’s gubernatorial nod will file to run for U.S. Senate as a write-in Candidate.
My guess: Bellows and Bush.
You know that progressive dude who’s in Maine to rally with Graham Platner, Ro Khanna? I guess I don’t know who that is.
Seriously, until about three seconds ago I thought it was this guy:
@PollTracker2024@TheMaineWonk@selinawangtv Speaking of Platner, as a kid I always wondered how the German people could have ever been so stupid and misguided as to vote in the NAZIs.
Now I know.
If you can’t stand to vote for @grahamformaine, @JanetMillsforME, or even @Costello4Senate, and if you’re not particularly thrilled with @SenatorCollins either, don’t forget, the deadline to file as a write-in candidate is August 25.
So, who ya got? Who should step up?
Half of @X says the @nytimes is “actively working to re-elect @SenatorCollins. The other half says it did yoeman’s work minimizing accusations against @grahamformaine.
We must remember, two things can be true at once, tho I suspect one here is cause, the other effect.
@fakechuck@queerBengali Given the invective & bile hurled at me, why bother? Still, I did research the cited cases. In all 3, while docs may’ve cited post-Roe as a reason for delays, each state had exceptions for miscarriage mgt & lifesaving needs. Blaming @SenSusanCollins’ vote seems a tenuous link.
Anyone who dismisses @lyndseyfifield’s accusations against @grahamformaine while simultaneously pimping SA accusations against @realDonaldTrump & Brett Kavanaugh is, IMHO, the absolute worst kind of pitiful, partisan hack. Fifield is MILES more credible than Carroll/Blasey Ford
@cenkuygur@grahamformaine There were three. Half of the ex-girlfriend’s interviews by the @nytimes. And she provided documentation Platner did in fact know the ideological sourcing of his tattoo years ago. You should be celebrating how hard the Times worked to minimize and sweep her story.
