@ChaddLast@C15Podcast@AlfieChatTW But they still tried to kill them!
& actually succeeded in the end.
I don't think there's anything wrong with showing girls have a libido too. The good thing about Kpop is that it's meant for humor, but also that it's ultimately a foolish thing because...well they're demons
@sophiadraws30@SpiderManVibe Gwen had the most complete character arc of the two of them in Across. But she's still the deuteragonist. Miles is the protagonist. The movies are always ultimately about him. They are just telling his story thru the lens of his relationship with Gwen.
@BeyondBeliefCos@Ellevieraaaa@cosmic_marvel These child actors are often too busy to actually sit down and enjoy TV and film. Especially super successful ones like Sadie. They rarely even have school experience, studying on set and home schooling instead.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK Short form content on the Internet is king and is the thing that truly moves the zeitgeist of entertainment culture. Esp for the younger set.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK No newly created hero will *ever* be as popular as the legends that came first. Media and culture is just too fragmented now. And as much as I love comics, they are irrelevant in this regard. Hell, movies & TV shows are probably irrelevant at this point or soon will be. +
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK Because it is not just Peter's name. It also belongs to Miles. You know this. It is officially and canonically true and has been for fifteen years. You just don't like it and won't admit it. So you pretend it's not true.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK No, you're a dude who thinks Miles is not worthy of the mantle and that it can easily be switched out without regard for its importance to his story as a legacy hero.
And if you're calling me "kid" you must realize your argument is weak and are switching to ad hominem.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK No, you think *I'm* wrong because it's not aligned with your biased view of Miles. Take a step back without the blinders and you'll see what I say is true: Miles Morales will never take another name than Spider-Man. You are fighting a battle already lost years ago.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK No, it's stale because it's stale. Just like your act that you like Miles.
Let's be done with this. It's getting boring. I just popped in to let you know you're beating a horse that's been dead for years at this point.. Marvel will never take the Spider-Man mantle from Miles.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK What? I just said the opposite. They brought Miles in to cover a niche that Peter doesn't cover anymore since he's no longer in school. That is not replacing. That's just telling different kinds of stories.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK Sure buddy. You just keep appealing to that authority.
And high mid-tier is good. It's the level below the legendary marvel heroes.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK Oh, I understand your point. You're just wrong. And the reason to tell me your cool names would be to show that they are actually cool.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK To live up to the expectations of Spider-Man b4 him while still being his own person.+
He's Stan's dream of how "it could be anyone under the mask" made real.
Spider-Man has worked for Miles since his inception 15 years ago. No need to change course now.
@B_swizzle07@MatyCyndaPoke@DanielRPK Themes of self-identity & expectations, familial & societal, his being a legacy hero echoing issues of mixed cultural acceptance. +
He's the hero who takes the leap even when he doesn't feel ready. Who tries his best, gets knocked down, then always gets back up and tries again.+
