Do @FrankWilczek and @bgreene have views on where - if not from quantum uncertainty - the space to exercise free will could ever come from? Even assuming consciousness is an emergent phenomenon?

@seanmcarroll Bit of a head-scratcher... but honestly the only person who comes to mind is Pope Francis. And I would describe him as a figurehead rather than a ‘thinker’. Current Dalai Lama falls into the same category although he seems more empirically minded.

I almost welcome quantum superposition as a condition of possibility for agency and as a layperson I struggle to find accessible accounts of what the latest evidence suggests about conscious decisions
