All four Black candidates are discussing uniting to defeat Debbie Wasserman Schultz in her bid to run in the historically Black congressional district, after her home district of FL-22 has been redrawn to lean Republican
Ozempic is synthesized from Gila monster lizard venom.
Researchers started studying the Gila monster’s venom in the early 1990s because the lizard only eats a few times a year, and they noticed a hormone in its venom helped regulate blood sugar for long periods after eating, which led to drugs that mimic that effect to treat type 2 diabetes by boosting insulin and reducing appetite.
The Department of War has spent over $123 million on Ozempic.
In other words, the US military has spent $123 million so that soldiers can inject a synthetic drug modeled after a hormone found in Gila monster venom into their veins. It’s an investment to help overweight troops avoid push-ups and treadmills.
Furthermore, Americans are so hooked on synthesized Gila monster lizard venom that it’s disrupted the food supply chain. As people everywhere morph themselves into Spirit Halloween skeletons, households have cut overall grocery spending by about 5.3% within six months. Which is great, since groceries are so expensive right now.
This also happens to be reducing food volumes enough to lower truckload demand for freight haulers, with estimates of hundreds of thousands fewer truckloads per year, forcing truckers to adjust to lighter loads. Which is also great, since diesel is so expensive right now.
Thankfully, President Trump slashed the price of Ozempic through Medicare, Medicaid, and his TrumpRx program so this drug is available to as many as possible.
This is one of Trump’s greatest accomplishments. Like Warp Speed but more MAHA.
“Why did the Palestinians initiate this on Oct 7?”
Max Blumenthal (Jew): “They didn’t. This war has been going on for 75 years. Israel initiated it in 1948 by ethnically cleansing 750,000 people.”
Smartphones appear to have accelerated the global fertility crisis -- by making social isolation and singledom more comfortable and entertaining.
Chatbots could nudge humanity even further in this direction. Today, digital technology doesn't just provide loners with perpetual stimulation but also, forms of emotional support that previously required real world relationships.

A collapse in the global population looks increasingly inevitable. Fertility rates have fallen below replacement in more than 66% of nations.
No policy intervention has substantially reversed this trend. And technological progress seems to be accelerating it. A smaller, weirder world is on its way

NBC News is reporting that the Pentagon has now listed Israel as a TOP national security threat facing the United States!
This is a HUGE development of historic proportions. For the Pentagon, Netanyahu‘s attempt to take over the US military/intelligence systems, via the 2027 NDAA was the straw that broke the camels back.
Bottom line, the Trump administration is filled with Israeli operatives and our nation is in grave danger..
Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

BREAKING: Former CIA official John Kiriakou says Israel is allowed to spy on the United States, while the United States is not allowed to spy on Israel, which is a political decision made at the White House.
Jacobin magazine, the principal mouthpiece of the leadership of the Democratic Socialists of America, today released a hit piece on Amazon labor leader Chris Smalls, @Shut_downAmazon.
It could be legit if Jacobin had had an honest critique of Smalls to clarify what class struggle unionist leaders should be doing. But the article is not that at all.
It’s a hatchet job against a leading labor activist who has refused to toe the line of the DSA and the business unionist labor leaders who give cover to the so-called progressive Democrats and to the Democratic Party as a whole, despite shocking betrayals by them against working people.
The crux of the real reason why Jacobin went after Smalls is contained in this sentence: “[Smalls] blames the two-party system for the state of the American labor movement…”
Smalls is spot on about this and the need to break from the Democratic and Republican parties. We need a new party of the working class.
The DSA leadership, on the other hand, sees giving cover to the Democratic Party as job number one. The Democratic Party is the party under whom the genocide in Gaza began and which engineered the breaking of the railroad workers’ strike — both under President Joe Biden. ALL Democrats in the House, including DSA star AOC voted to break the strike. The Democratic Party is one of the two most powerful capitalist parties in the world, and in no way represents working people or the oppressed.
Business unionist labor leaders are those who have made peace with the capitalist system and are driven by protecting their careers, which means placating the bosses, not organizing the rank and file against the bosses to win substantive working-class victories. Refusing to fight the bosses also means aligning with the parties of the bosses, like the Democratic Party.
The overwhelming majority of the labor leadership today is business unionist, with some crucial exceptions like Smalls. We need a reckoning in the labor movement.
Brother Smalls has put his life on the line for the antiwar movement in solidarity with the Palestinia people against the Israeli state’s genocide bankrolled by both the Democratic and Republican parties. Smalls went on a Gaza aid flotilla carrying food, baby formula, diapers and medicine in the context of catastrophic levels of mass starvation in Gaza. The flotilla was attacked by the Israeli military, who physically assaulted Smalls, and kicked and choked him.
In contrast, AOC has voted for the Iron Dome which is part of the Israeli state’s genocidal apparatus.
For having the temerity to expose AOC and other self-described “progressive” politicians, Smalls is called “narcissistic” by Jacobin, a term the magazine’s editors were apparently forced to retract after they got huge amounts of flak on all social media.
Personal attacks and character assassination like in this case are often used by the political establishment’s spokespeople as proxy for their real objections — in this case, the threat they feel from Smalls openly calling out the Democratic Party’s actual role.
The only way of rebuilding a militant labor movement is to pose a concrete threat to both the Democratic and Republican parties, which in turn requires a challenge to the business unionist labor leadership. That is the basis on which I won the nation’s highest minimum wage and the Amazon Tax during the decade I was the sole socialist on the Seattle City Council.
I am now running as an independent revolutionary socialist against genocidal Democrat Adam Smith. I am calling for an end to all military aid to Israel and an end to all weapons and tech for genocide and imperialist war. https://t.co/sh3zyhgTI7
The 1948 Nakba is very well known, but the ethnic cleansing of 1967 is discussed far lesn, ad it was utterly horrific. Historian Adam Raz has p,ublishsed a well-resourced account in Haaretz today, built on Israeli documents. Here are the main findings:
1) Israel expelled and drove out roughly 300,000 Arabs in 1967, about 200,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza, and about 120,000 Syrians from the Golan, where only some 6,000 of an estimated 130,000 remained. One soldier described the Gaza raids: "We grabbed guys, stood them up and eliminated them. In hindsight it looks like murder."
2) This was not an accident; it was intentional policy, prepared for since the early 1960s. Defense Minister Dayan wanted the West Bank emptied and repeatedly welcomed reports of flight. Many villages were destroyed. The KKL later planted Canada Park over the ruins of Imwas, Beit Nuba and Yalu. One soldier said the columns of expelled families reminded him of Jews "trudging through occupied Europe," and his heart sank at the sight.
3) Those trying to return were slaughtered. Troops were ordered to shoot to kill without warning. When one soldier asked whether to fire even if he heard babies crying, the answer was: "Don't be a girl." The IDF itself reported nearly 150 Palestinians killed this way by early September, and Chief of Staff Rabin confirmed these were the standing orders.
4) Crimes were widespread: systematic looting, the execution of unarmed prisoners and civilians, and the bulldozing of Golan villages "so there'd be nowhere to return to." One of the officers who ordered prisoners executed was Moshe Levi — later IDF Chief of Staff. A soldier wrote to his girlfriend that they had turned Sinai into a "valley of slaughter," adding: "I saw too many murders to cry."
5) The legal warnings were ignored. In December 1967, Foreign Ministry legal adviser Theodor Meron wrote that the expulsions were "a grave breach of the Geneva Convention." His summary line captures the whole episode: the Ministerial Committee for Security Affairs "decided to approve the policy anyway."
This sounds incredibly familiar, doesn't it? This is the Israeli way of war, based one slaughter and ethnic cleansing. Nothing changed.
The House Armed services committee has rejected Ro’s amendment to remove section 224, and the proposed military integration with Israel will move forward.
We do not have a recorded vote.
It’s up to the House now to strike section 224 from the NDAA.
This is an outrage.
Our government has been co-opted by a foreign power.
