We are just calling for the organization to be inclusive and work hand in glove with the disability constituency. What we demand is for the selection committee to release the infor on who got the tender particularly his/her experience and knowledge @UNICEFZIMBABWE@abrahammateta
1. Another information is saying JF Kapnek Zimbabwe which serves child with disabilities as its clients has awarded a consultancy tender to a person without any knowledge and experience of disability @UNICEFZIMBABWE@abrahammateta
3. Who is there to safe guard the convention ? Surely @unprpd secretariat should stop this Zimbabwean program and launch an investigation into the tender and employment scam? Who will guard the guard?
1. We are now entering the second phase of the UNPRPD implementation in Zimbabwe. Before rejoicing all persons with disabilities should pose and ask themselves these questions... Where did the over USD$400 000 from the first phase go? Who hires disability consultant for @UNESCO
20. We therefore urge all activists not to lose hope. A real people-driven policy on disability is possible in our life time and we must push hard against the undermining of the actual voices of persons with disabilities. @mcbaudy@GwiziSoneni@sam_signsofhope@signsofhopezim
Why Zimbabwe has no national Disability Policy : A thread
1 We are inundated with requests to help some of our activists understand the long and seemingly unending road to the national disability policy in Zimbabwe. @mcbaudy@nqostos@RMalunda
19. . We however believe that the UN agencies should be guided by the UNCRPD which stands for meaningful involvement and active participation of persons with disabilities. @RMalunda@UNDPZimbabwe@UN@UNICEF
