To provide a unique disability initiative improving the lives of disabled people. Producing a much needed single recognised Disabled Identification (DID) Card.
#JimmysFarmHQ Tried to visit on own as a disabled person looked on website says mobility scooter available no mention there is a £15 to use it. Got there and not prepared to pay to access facilities. Most places free scooters. Shame on you.
@JimmysFarmHQ As a disabled solo visitor I thought I would visit the farm but a hire charge of £15 to use their mobility scooter too much on top of entry fee. Shame
@disabled_id Used my card for the first time last week @wbtourlondon really appreciate how easy it to prove disability and how welcoming everyone was at #wbtourlondon
@Motability@Jim_Holder@londonevshow I have a motability EV adapted with hand controls. Was part of motability user group last year on difficulties using charging points. Access usually over a curb or barrier, impossible if on a scooter or wheelchair. Urgent change needed. #EV
My pod has just been built and delighted with the final result. All done in a week plus the 3 days before Christmas for the ground works. I am using it as an office to free up my house of staff. I now get my house back. I am having a kitchenette and toilet fitted inside.
If you’re a wheelchair user (manual or electric) who can walk (regardless of how far or how often you do so) and want to get involved with a blog post I’m writing, reply to this tweet! ♿️
We brought back 3 pieces of art from our holiday in Africa on canvas. Just had them framed and they look fantastic. They needed touching up in places. Amazing job in framing them. Thank you. We have permanent reminder of our Safari now.
#Disability is part of the human condition and should be embraced not shunned. Every family has a connection to someone with a disability and we will all live with a disability ourselves one day. #FridayFeeling
