We're live on Product Hunt today. If you work with voice β or just want to compare pay-per-use with subscriptions β we'd love your feedback: https://t.co/odENIZrf04
Why your PDF is 40MB:
Nine times out of ten it's embedded fonts and full-resolution images that were never going to be printed at that size.
Compress before you send. The text stays sharp; the attachment stops bouncing back.
Question for anyone building something small:
What did you finish this week that nobody will ever notice, but you're quietly proud of?
Mine: I finally deleted a TODO list instead of rewriting it again.
What's yours? π
@emmaguetta Thanks Emma, following back now π€ Retriever for B2B sales is a real painkiller space β curious how you're making the agents actually close, not just book meetings. Will dig in.
Launch night energy π
A month of building in public: PDF tools, a voice toolkit, 83 languages, zero subscriptions.
If you're shipping something β SaaS, AI tools, content β say hi below. I follow back and check out every project π€
Quietly proud of this one: drop in a recording, get a transcript that labels who said what β across 83 languages. Billed by the second, no subscription, credits don't expire.

@TheXSami Thanks Sami! π Following back now β Doodle's a neat idea; hand-copyable sketches stick better than a folder of screenshots. Will check it out π
Why PDF text sometimes copies out as garbage:
The font may not embed its character map. Glyphs render fine but carry no "this is the letter A" information.
Not corruption β a font problem. And it's why good converters re-extract text instead of screenshotting pages.
@BabaDev_ Appreciate it π€ Localized indexing is the grind nobody sees β ja/ko/es crawl rates are all over the place. What are you building? Always down to swap notes with fellow indie devs.
Sunday connect post π
Building browser-based file tools in public. This month's project: getting the localized pages (ja / ko / es) indexed properly.
If you're into indie SaaS, SEO, or shipping small tools β say hi below, I follow back π€
@TripwireDX Honestly too early to call for us: ja/ko/es are all freshly submitted and GSC's still warming up. I'll post a breakdown once impressions separate out.
Honest question for anyone who touches PDFs at work:
A) Pay per file, no account, done in 30 seconds
B) Monthly subscription for the same job
I build A. Everyone picks A in theory β then keeps paying for B out of habit.
Which one are you actually on? π
Building in public β week 3, honest numbers:
β’ Tools shipped: 23
β’ Languages live: 5
β’ Paying users: 6
β’ X followers: 2
The gap between what you ship and what anyone notices is the whole indie game.
The 11pm email: "can you send this as one PDF?"
You have 6 files, no software installed, and a hotel laptop.
Browser tools exist for exactly this moment β no install, no account, pay for the one job.
