@WiiWareWave Thanks for checking in. I've started shipping out physical rewards (about 300 boxes shipped). Revamped the game and systems based on the early access feedback. Hired a couple people to help me polish up Soul Saga (it's a pretty large world for a small team, so still takes time).
I'm considering partnering with a lead writer on Soul Saga.
The ideal partner would enjoy writing light-hearted, quirky dialogue for cartoony characters and designing individual character story arcs within a predefined world.

@WiiWareWave I've had some publishers offer to port Soul Saga to Nintendo, Playstation, and Xbox consoles. I have to finish the game 100% before that can be considered though. So once early access goes through some more feedback loops with players, I'll know more on console ports.

@empika It would have to be profit sharing. The base game was just recently released in early access. Want to add story to it now. Have some good feedback to know how to move forward, and the game has a large amount of wishlists waiting for it to be officially completed.
This is the technique I'm trying to accomplish. Basically mipmaps cause a bleed effect and have a white outline on objects like leaves. This video is in Photoshop, but wondering if any other program can accomplish this.

Any #gamedev able to recommend a texture editing tool that edits alpha channels directly?
Need something to fix bleeding in 3D textures (tga) that have alpha clipping shaders. Only one I can find is Photoshop, but a monthly subscription is silly for just one feature. ๐ง

Steam should separate reviews under 2 hours. A review with 2+ hours should have more weight than one with 15 minutes.
Could call them "First Impressions" rather than incorrectly titling it a real "review".
It'd increase the value and accuracy of Steam's averaged review score.
After some time to think about it, I feel like it's been really silly to try and compartmentalized Soul Saga's genre. It's way too sophisticated to just box it into a single category.
Especially with all the upcoming features.
Soul Saga has evolved over the years as I created a unique game I sincerely enjoyed playing myself.
I believe I succeeded in that goal, but it did stray from its original vision of a "classic JRPG".
It's now more of a rogue-lite; and I love it so I will continue it this way. ๐
