Matthew 7:1-4 - Judge not lest you be judged
This is likely the most misrepresented and misused scripture set in the entire Bible. Is Jesus telling us not to judge?
Absolutely not!
What he is clearly saying is don't hold someone to a standard you are not prepared to keep yourself. If your neighbor has a speck in their eye, you are doing a disservice to them by not addressing their sin with humility.
@LDS_Dems I don’t like Trump, personally.
But, why is it a moral requirement to morn a death? Shouldn’t (as Paul suggests in Philippians) death be either a celebration in eternal progress, or in removing evil from earth?
@stackerco@Joeray Sola S. Is an inevitability, or it isn’t in one’s faith journey.
Aside from scripture justifying itself in a non-circular manner, seeking truth outside of scripture means you miss the mark of Christ’s only requirement for salvation.
Faith.
@LDS_Dems This is beyond false.
Invest 1/2 the money spent on pasteurization in one year into milk collection “infrastructure” and you could safely collect and transport raw milk.
Sad for the folks who think this way.
@RobertLutherFL@RpsAgainstTrump Not a trumper, but this is right in line with most approval rates since Bush, and will likely be the norm with political extremism being a thing from now on.
You, are part of the problem.
@JordanGuatqui@LDS_Dems Share a news article, in a blue state, supporting your position.
Should be really easy to find if it is as rampant as you suggest.
@JordanGuatqui@LDS_Dems No, it isn’t.
NIMBY has nothing to do with legislation or policy.
It refers to the people, or community, opposing infrastructure that would encourage population expansion.
Funny to see liberals blame housing pricing.
@LDS_Dems@stackerco LDS scripture and doctrine PRAISES an ability to have less faith..
“It makes so much more sense” - “further revelation”.
LDS have faith in their church, not in the word of God.
