MY POLITICS HAS A RED LINE:

Today at the ODM Party Delegates Conference in Nyatike, attended by Party Chairperson Governor Gladys Wanga and other top party officials, I made my position very clear: I support President Ruto’s re-election.

But equally clear in this: I will never be part of any group planning, executing, maiming, killing or destroying the property of a fellow from this region simply because of political differences.

Look at the Kikuyu and Luhya nations. Their leaders occupy different political camps, yet political rivalry has not become a licence to organise goons against fellow leaders.

Even President Ruto has intelligence. He knows such dirty politics only damages us and serves no genuine political purpose.

So don't call me to meetings where the plan is to injure Luos in the name of protecting political positions. I will not be part of it.

We can disagree. We can compete. But let us never turn politics into a licence for coercive violence.
