In some good news from #Nicaragua, two pastors have been allowed to return to their homes having been in exile for a year and a half.
“We did not expect this,” Aarón shares. “But when I learned I could return, I felt peace and gratitude.”
Aarón was refused entry into Nicaragua without explanation in January 2025, whilst Vicente has been in exile since December 2024 – and their case isn’t unique.
“Having to say goodbye to my family at the airport and watching them leave, without knowing what would happen next, was heartbreaking,” Vicente recalls.
The reasons for their return aren’t clear, but could stem from growing international pressure on the Ortega regime.
“The situation is still unclear. I have many challenges ahead: serving God in a church again, finding work and recovering lost time with my family,” Vicente shares. “I do not know what awaits me, but we trust in God.”
Praise God for the safe return of these two pastors and pray for His ongoing protection and strength for them in the days ahead.
