🏆 Referee announced for 2026 #SuperCup!
We're pleased to share that Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the highly anticipated match between PSG and Aston Villa in Salzburg.
Whoever is advising the President is doing him a very HUGE disservice ‼️
The President needs to go back to the drawing board and understand how most of the things he is suggesting won’t even work! He needs to practically take time and go to home affairs, BMA, the border, refugee centres etc and understand the problem before he can even try and provide solutions. The President needs to take time and UNDERSTAND the problem or he will always fall short.
I’m disappointed that he continues to think this is a political and tribal issue…
Not the ending we hoped for, but we’ll use this feeling the right way next season. To every City fan who travelled with us this season, thank you 🙏🏻 Congrats to Arsenal for the title.
🚨🎙️Cristiano Ronaldo :
"When I watch Arsenal, I don't see them as rivals, because I was very close to joining them. That's why when they win, I celebrate with them." 🔙
Congratulations Arsenal on winning the Premier League 👏
🏆👏🏼 Pep Guardiola: “Congratulations Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, his staff, backroom staff, all the players, fans for this Premier League…
…they deserve it!”. ✨
🗣️ Pep Guardiola on his future. "You understand the first person I have to talk to is my chairman because we decided when we finish the season we will sit and talk. Simple as that. And after we will take the decision.
"I have one more year contract. I will not tell you [my decision] here because I have to talk to my chairman, my players, my staff.
"When we play for the FA Cup, before we qualify for the Champions League, when we play for the Premier League, there is just one thing in my mind. The focus is try to win and get the team to the highest points.
"I am the happiest man in the planet to be at this club. This club is just extraordinary."
🚨 Pep Guardiola is leaving Manchester City. And before City fans start writing his obituary as the greatest manager of all time, let’s have a quick word.
19 trophies in 10 years at City. Impressive. Genuinely. Nobody is taking that away.
But let’s put some context around those numbers before the statues get commissioned.
Guardiola had the most expensively assembled squad in Premier League history at his disposal. Every single transfer window. Every single year. Limitless resources. A club willing to spend whatever it took, and a Financial Fair Play case hanging over them that somehow never seemed to slow anything down.
Need a full-back? £50 million.
Need a centre-back? £60 million.
Need a striker? £100 million.
Need depth? Buy another international.
Most managers are forced to solve problems. Pep simply replaced them.
Now compare that to Sir Alex Ferguson.
Sir Alex won 13 Premier League titles, 2 Champions Leagues and 5 FA Cups with a club he built from the ground up. He developed young players, rebuilt multiple generations and dominated English football for 27 years, not 10.
He did it through the Eric Cantona years, the Roy Keane years, the Cristiano Ronaldo years and the Ryan Giggs years. Different squads. Different eras. Same outcome.
🚨🚨🎙️ Wayne Rooney on Arsenal winning the Premier League after 22 years: an emotional speech 🎤
“This team… this team… honestly, I’m actually feeling emotional for them right now. For years people called them soft, fragile, bottlers… every season it was ‘stay humble’, ‘show some mentality’, ‘build some muscle’, ‘they’re not built for the big moments’. 😭
Well… where’s Mr. Mentality now? Where’s the man telling everyone to stay humble now? Where’s the man mocking them with a bottle. I can’t see them 👀
Because Arsenal have gone and done it. After 22 years. And they didn’t do it in an easy season either, they did it in one of the toughest Premier League campaigns I can remember. The pressure, the intensity, the competition… and they still came out on top.
If right now, you are still doubting this team then you’ve been left behind, and it’s only a matter of time you will stop doubting them.
You have to give credit where it’s due. Mikel Arteta deserves enormous praise because he rebuilt this club step by step and got people believing again.
I can already see Arsenal fans becoming the loudest people on earth for the next 20 years… and honestly? Fair enough. They’ve suffered enough. Congratulations to Arsenal Football Club.” 🏆❤️
🏆 In 2017, I was on assignment at the Emirates with a visit to @Arsenal for a week. My friend and renowned journalist, Xolani Gwala, had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was undergoing treatment already. Having no idea of what would ever bring a flicker of a smile given his condition, I walked into that Arsenal shop and all of a sudden I knew that this might be the mental/psychological magic he deserves. Bought him a number of items and when I went to see him immediately after landing back home, he immediately told me that he has to fit the items on immediately especially because he can't even remember when last they won the league. 9yrs later #Arsenal are LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!
I know you are proud and celebrating tonight mhlonishwa!!
CONGRATULATIONS MPHEPHETHWA!!! FINALLY!!🥇
Continue to rest easy CHAMP!!!
