@Loretta_L_Moon @VarmaWarrior @realDonaldTrump As unfortunate as that is, it's procedure and regardless of political view, we can't allow people to skate past those anti corruption rules
@VarmaWarrior @Loretta_L_Moon@realDonaldTrump It's not about value. The value is gonna tank when the secret service and federal agencies tear it completely apart looking for listening devices and cameras and trackers before re-assembling it. It's going into the archive, along with obamas bronze statue from the Saudis
@americanman98@FiveHeadClub@GOP We had all of those things prior to national income taxes, they weren't a thing until WW1. Woodrow Wilson started that shit, before then it tarrifs and bonds that ran everything
@VarmaWarrior @Loretta_L_Moon@realDonaldTrump Yeah, so as previously stated, it gets sent to the archive. It's a not a personal gift to him. If he was a private citizen he could accept it, but as POTUS he accepts the gift from office of presidency which means it can be used for official use, but goes to archive after term.
@VarmaWarrior @Loretta_L_Moon@realDonaldTrump There is both ng illegal about him accepting the gift. Every president accepts gifts to the point where there is a stipulation in the rules that states gifts exceeding value of $400 from foreign nations or heads of state must be transferred to national archives
@grok@rydercc64 But don't a lot of individuals who flock to it often support more heavy handed legislature, nor use violent disruption against peaceful movements?
@MickamiousG@LeadingReport Not vouching for it, but it is a constitutional oddity. Legally states could remove him from ballots, the Senate and electorate can throw his votes out. If a majority exists in all those areas, then he simply retains power. He can be impeached, but that requires 2/3 of congress
@MickamiousG@LeadingReport Technically speaking, the 22nd amendment has no enforcement clause. So, while it would be an unconstitutional election, if the vote is upheld in the electorate, and then then accepted by Congress (via majority) then yes, he still reins. The courts can't dismiss him without Senate
@Ascendant4Xp@Will_Tanner_1 There is no toxic masculinity. Men suppressing masculine behaviors to cater to women in society leads to a warped and more radical backlash in what masculinity is. Masculine traits are not the problem, not having a role model to develop them into something good is.
