@CatrinNye@BBCiPlayer Fantastic work. Funny how data protection means they can't respond to any of the allegations, but they can release recordings of therapy sessions 🤔
@panamaorange@MissIG_Geek @guy_freire From your screenshots, it's similar to the central complex, which just is a part of the insect brain, as the BG is part of ours.
In general, the idea of brain regions corresponding to animals, arranged in some kind of hierarchy, is pseudoscience. see e.g. https://t.co/kmf7ExfraJ
@panamaorange@MissIG_Geek @guy_freire Anyway, orientation is a complex thing so differences are distributed across several different brain regions besides this one. It doesn't exist in one spot. Not that this makes it easy or even possible to overwrite or "rewire," of course. In any case, why would you even want to?
@panamaorange@MissIG_Geek @guy_freire I think you misunderstood the brain regions involved here. The calcarine sulcus isn't in the hindbrain, it's part of the telencephalon - it's right on the brain's outer surface, part of the neocortex. It's in the occipital lobe, but isn't "ancient" or "insect" or whatever.
@fan_of_racing@RightWingCope "Least restrictive in Europe" still means mandatory licensing. And actual gun ownership rates aren't even close. Czechia has 12.5 guns per 100 people, the US has 120.
@dingding_peng @VandekerckhoveJ Cilantro might be a weird one because it's so widely known that there's a genetic component to its taste. People might construe cilantro liking less as "individual preference for" and more as "ability to enjoy," which would make it a very atypical preference.
Maybe... celery?
@M_B_Petersen @asbjorndyrendal @PoliPsyProf @JoeUscinski In most versions, the elites have secured bunkers and other safe places for themselves, and are looking forward to the unwashed masses dying off in the disaster when Planet X comes and causes a catastrophic shift in Earth's rotation. So they need to keep it quiet to avoid unrest.
