I’m sickened that Angela Rayner used the public money allocated in the aftermath of the Southport murders to fund what The Telegraph reports was political propaganda against Reform UK and the Conservatives. That money was intended to help communities recover from the murder of three innocent little girls. Her department has serious questions to answer about how that money was spent.
Angela Rayner should resign!
A 24 year old Sri Lankan worker in Saudi Arabia was originally convicted for a Facebook post ‘insulting the prophet’ and given a sentence of 5 years in prison. An appeal to have him tried under Sharia law was successful and now despite the Facebook post being deleted and an apology given he has been sentenced to death.
Should we continue to allow these same Sharia courts to operate in the UK ?

Dear 17.4m Brexiteers
Labour's Emily Thornberry thinks UK should rejoin the EU without asking voters.
She thinks you should "get over it".
Do you have a message for Emily? 🤔

The West’s net-zero policies are handing China a huge strategic advantage
While Western nations close reliable energy and raise costs, China adds wind and solar without giving up coal, oil or gas—then sells us the panels, batteries and other products our mandates require
China’s approach is “add, don’t subtract”: build renewables and nuclear power while continuing to expand fossil fuels. This supplies cheap, dependable energy for Chinese industry. Meanwhile, many Western governments deliberately make their own energy more expensive and become increasingly dependent on Chinese solar panels, batteries, critical minerals and manufacturing.
Western climate organizations scrutinize democracies far more aggressively than China, where independent activism is impossible and access depends on the state.
Climate policy should be judged by its actual effect on global emissions, energy prices, industrial competitiveness and dependence on China—not simply by whether it appears ambitious at home.

@Climatehope2 Royal Society estimates an electrified UK will need about 100 TWh of electrical storage that can hold charge for up to 3 years.
Just pop your estimate of the cost of that in batteries below, so we can evaluate your claim.
Thanks.
On my way to vote on the referendum I bumped into Helga Onyourbackyoubitch a Russian agent who worked in Pound stretcher, she plyed me with vodka and curly wurlys obviously after that I had to vote leave ...
Ed.
You are appalled. Of course you are. Appalled is your resting face.
A missile hit an airport in Riyadh. Twelve dead, three hundred wounded, the worst attack on the Saudis in a decade. And there you are, hand on heart, standing in solidarity with those affected.
You forgot to mention who did it. The Houthis. Iran's proxy, Iran's missile, Iran's war. Not once does the word Iran leave your pen.
And you are the man who shook Iran's hand. Araghchi, in New York, and the Tories called it a propaganda win for Tehran. Tugendhat said you were legitimising a regime that has tried to harm our people. Schama said you had lost the right to lecture on anything, ever. And you met no Israeli at all.
But it was not only the mullah. There is a second photograph, you and Alex Soros, grinning at one another like old friends. The theocrat on one side. The globalist billionaire on the other. And the British public in the middle, who voted for neither.
You are appalled by the fire, Ed, while standing next to the man with the matches. Two men, as it turns out. Neither of them yours. Both of them delighted with you.
Solidarity with those affected. Very good. But the affected are the ones your policy has been sidelining while you courted the other side. And the other side is the one that fired.
You are appalled. You should be. You helped.
The fact that we have a Prime Minister who willingly appears on podcasts with:
Gary Lineker, who was forced to resign from the BBC over antisemitism.
Lying, war dossier Alastair Campbell.
Rory the Pakistani rape gangs problem is "irrelevant" Stewart.
Shows he’s unfit to be PM
With all this talk about Russian interference in British politics, I would like to draw attention to a piece I wrote for @TheCriticMag in December 2025, arguing that the Rycroft Review should look beyond political finance and investigate Russian attempts to influence UK energy policy and markets during the 2010s.
In my article, I drew on publicly available evidence and testimonies from credible security experts (Dr Fiona Hill), Western intelligence agencies (US Intelligence Community Assessment from 2017), Congress’s Science, Space, and Technology and NATO itself.
Nearly 12 months later, we are heading into what could be our second major energy crisis in 5 years. Yet there is almost complete silence from the UK’s media and political establishment about whether Russian influence operations played a role in shaping the policies that have left us so dangerously exposed.
If we are genuinely serious about understanding foreign interference, why are we not asking these questions?
