Yes, please. I remember when my local library first got computers in the kids' section. I would visit weekly to practice typing answers into this one document. Then one time, a librarian noticed and said, Do not type anything in the computer. I apologised and stopped using the computers there, but in retrospect, it feels weird. We definitely need a better library scene in India.
@gladiatrix009 Public proposals are embarrassing and can easily end up on social media, but that doesn't excuse how people are hating on the girl and the boy. I agree with you that she was polite and had the right to reject the boy.
I feel like social media has heightened the parasocial connections between celebs and fans. People often forget that we don't know the celebrities, and there is a line of defending someone. Btw, we have dedicated spaces for such conversations, do give us a visit: https://t.co/U2nevpPEms
@tanishqakhatri I agree with you, devotional art is incomplete without intent behind it. The clay or prints themselves don't hold the meaning; it's the human's faith that makes them sacred.
@MelanieJEaston I watched this film recently because usually I enjoy L. Rai's messed-up characters, but goodness, the research was difficult to sit through. Some consultation from a PhD student or professor during script writing would have saved that fiasco.
@sikkadevi Yes please! I wish more people would read as a pleasure rather than simply for educational or "change my life." If you ever want to share your recommendations, then we have a dedicated Books Room that might interest you: https://t.co/81eSCU4ovM
@MenonBioPhysics Every quote I read of Gita Gopinath from Davos makes me agree more. An economy that is rising at the cost of its citizens' health is bound to suffer in the long run.
In my view, the same issue applies to the entire ecosystem of quick commerce apps. These roles should ideally be temporary gigs or part-time work, not someone’s primary source of livelihood.
However, India’s informal workforce is so large that many are compelled to take up such jobs full-time, while those debating their rights often end up advocating for frameworks that simply generate more of this kind of work. We've discussed such topics on Diskorse, do give it a visit: https://t.co/U2nevpPEms
@shatakshij7 It's a shame that men don't have reliable voices supporting their mental health or representation in law. I agree that such public show that only incites gender wars is going to harm them in the long run.
@soham_s_16 I agree. Pitching STEM against the humanities doesn’t help anyone. Both have their own methodology. If you ever want to join more conversations that don't chalk up in such simplification, do give Diskorse a try: https://t.co/81eSCU4ovM
The reason is simple: secularism in India simply means "co-existence" and not the dismantling of religious authority. We didn't separate state from religion, but instead focused on providing cultural space to practice it. As a result, the class identity never replaced the religious identity. So, naturally, communist voters turned to the political ideology that provided them with community and certainty. If you have more questions like these, then do consider sharing them on Diskorse: https://t.co/U2nevpPEms
A penguin from a 2007 documentary is breaking the internet.
The clip shows a lone penguin that suddenly stops following its colony toward the feeding grounds.
Instead, it turns around, looks back briefly, and continues toward the mountains around 70 kilometres away.
Gen Z LOVED it.
This penguin chose its own path when everyone else was following the crowd. It didn't make logical sense or a safe choice.
But it was its choice.

@Humorosaurus Diskorse's community supports talking about poop ✊ Some of the countries in the East have museums for it; the least we can do is talk about it. Please, feel free to start a conversation anytime. https://t.co/81eSCU4ovM
@quinoa_biryani It really is a fun sport! It's a shame that most wrestlers only get praise for their strength. Btw, if you ever want to share more of your insights or start a conversation about wrestling, then Diskorse would be happy to have you https://t.co/81eSCU4ovM
I agree, languages shouldn't be forced upon anyone. India has long been celebrated as a multilingual nation where sometimes people from two different states connect over a common third language. If anything, we should be promoting that connection instead of imposing various languages on each other. Btw, such topics do really well on our platform. Do give it a visit if you like: https://t.co/U2nevpPEms
