IMO, a lot of people don't have a worldview. For them, politics is about gender performance. Andrew Schulz fantasizes about joining the military to fight for his country, but won't set his thermostat to 78°. It's not about civic responsibility, but about performing machismo.
BOOMER: "I retired at 55 with a full pension."
YOU: "That's not possible anymore."
BOOMER: "Why not?"
YOU: "Pensions don't exist. I have a 401k."
BOOMER: "Just save more."
YOU: "I'm paying $2,000 rent, $500 student loans, $400 car payment."
BOOMER: "You're spending too much."
YOU: "On what? Survival?"
BOOMER: "I bought a house for $50,000 in 1975."
YOU: "Houses are $450,000 now."
BOOMER: "You should've bought sooner."
YOU: "I was 22 with $40,000 in debt."
BOOMER: "We had it harder."
YOU: "You had pensions and affordable housing."
YOU: "I have neither."
BOOMER: "Stop complaining."
The system changed. You just refuse to see it.
I miss when "The News" was just a guy in a suit telling you what happened, instead of a 24 hour panic machine designed to make you hate your neighbor so you don't notice your rent went up 30%.
lindsey graham was a bloodthirsty odious monster who loved war. ironic that he achieved his best friend john mccains dream of bombing iran, only to experience the spectacular failure it turned into in his final days! he watched a century of force projection capabilities collapse
FIFA saying the ball sensor didn't detect hitting the camera wire really just causes problems for them
Because you can see it hit something and move, so how can we trust the sensor
And where's Croatia in all of this
