The reason betrayal is so difficult to heal from is that it forces the betrayed to question his or her ability to perceive reality, to wonder how such deceit could happen right in front of them.

Not only does this put them in a position of needing to learn to trust others again, it means they have to relearn trust in their own perceptions.

My daughter was not a celebrity. She was a person who had brain cancer. I’m trying to raise awareness of glioblastoma, the horrendous grade four brain tumour that took my daughter.

Charlotte was 19 yrs 5 days old when she died. Her last birthday was the 18th of February 2016. She spent it in a coma. Charlotte had no bucket list. She didn't even have a big enough group of friends to enjoy one with. Before her diagnosis, Charlotte was a timid teenager diagnosed with crippling General Anxiety Disorder.

Charlotte faced her cancer head on. It changed her completely. The immediacy of the situation shook off all of her previous inhibitions and anxieties.

Charlotte campaigned vehemently, through her YouTube channel & national and local news. She was determined to give a voice to other young sufferers of cancer.
