@HoodieRamey Tbh, upgrading the guard tandem to balance the line (despite a much lesser center) might play out better.
Playing next to the worst guard tandem in the NFL made Lindy look like a superstar and seem big-payday-worthy.
@NickGomenis @BraggingRtsSpts@Barkley_Tap With the right personnel, Harbaugh’s team can ball. However, the issue plaguing him since ‘16 season has been injuries to keep players at the worst times.
The 1st sign of things going wrong in New York under him will be if injuries pile up and/or double-digits leads get blown.
@koestreicher34 Hey Kevin - just finished watching you & Femi’s segment on the potential formations & how 3 TEs might be utilized.
I think 1 key change that isn’t discussed much is Pat Ricard. Much love to him for all, but having an FB might have stifled playbook creativity.
@MatthewLowin@koestreicher34 If you want to stretch, the OL also gets big boost from coaching staff because, take this with grain of salt, the recent offensive lines have been spoiled with Lindy’s presence. I think he helped compensate for & even hide WORSE Guard play.
A great OL coach should help immensely
@Papi_Golf@koestreicher34 Defensively, it’s hard to assess, but the expectation is that Minter’s defense will be less likely to give up double-digit point leads late in games vs the Zachary Orr experience.
You just gotta trust that key points of concern from the past are addressed with a new leadership.
@Papi_Golf@koestreicher34 An “unproven” head coach just won a Super Bowl, this OC brings a mental edge to establish himself, the progress at OL (staff & personnel-wise) is better than Har-bum was allowing in since Joe D passed, Ricard is not a fit for modern passing offenses, TEs for WRs is an improvement
@LamarsMore @ArenaGridiron@BossWard43 Exactly! On the other hand, I’m not entirely sure if that said more about Drake Maye against good defenses or how good the Chargers defense is.
@ArenaGridiron@BossWard43 Over the hump, for Baltimore, means less mistakes and preserving their skill position players late in the season. 1-on-1s & full pad practices for skill position players into the playoffs is not a way to preserve them & keep them on-point for the most crucial reps of the season.
@SportChattr@HoodieRamey We can’t seem to get anyone big for slot work. Think all the way back to Tavon Young, it’s always a little nickel if it ain’t Marlon lining up there.
However, if he does end up being more physical than AD, that should be fun to see!
@RealmRavens If Dexter Lawrence didn’t get sent to AFC North, I think BAL would have gone with Bain or Lemon.. Har-Bum still be schemin some petty ass shit
@soundwavestapes@HoodieRamey Maybe late season one on ones and full pads wore everyone out. It’s the only explanation I can think of for how mental mistakes unfold in the playoffs like that.
We’ll see what happens
