Your mindset is part of your edge.
Long term profitability comes more easily with optimism than constant pessimism.
If your TL and your thoughts are filled with negativity, it will subtly shape your psychology and make consistent execution much harder.
The volatility and rotations in an onchain trading environment are brutal and create one of the hardest, most asymmetric trading grounds for traders. They can influence your mindset faster than anything else, making you believe that everything is a scam, bundled, manipulated, or criminal and that it is everyone else’s fault that you aren’t profitable, but not your own execution.
This often leads into a death spiral of emotional overtrading, where you fail to acknowledge that your trading mistakes are rooted in your own daily decision making, creating constant negative thought processes about everything.
I was there until I realized that the markets and other participants owe me nothing. It is just me and my trading framework, which relies on positive thinking that markets tend to go up over time and that asymmetric opportunities will emerge somehow.
Try to think positive. The future is great and you will make it. Losing your port ATH doesn’t mean the trading journey is over, markets move in cycles, and it can swing back higher.
Focus
you must believe you are special and then go so hard, for so long, with such violent refusal to accept any other ending, that reality itself starts running out of ways to tell you no. you must wage a war daily against the ordinary outcome, until the belief you invented out of nothing in a room by yourself has been hammered into the world so many times that it stops being a claim and becomes reality.
You want to make it?
That’s good, but almost everyone in their 20s, especially on this app, wants this. Nearly all of my friends would like to be financially free. But there is no short cut. What actually matters is having the relentless inner drive to sacrifice evenings and sundays, staying locked in when most are enjoying their free time with something else. If you don’t have the motivation to spend multiple trading weeks in a flow state, building capital from nothing becomes even harder than it already is.
Prepare your watchlists and setups on sundays. Try to focus on relative strength. Learn to get a feel for market dynamics (when X moves, Y could follow). Thats the least you need to do if your capital is limited.
I’ll keep posting my read on market dynamics as a trading journal for the foreseeable future. Maybe it helps someone develop their own feel for the market and find an edge. Good luck.
You know why most people dont make money in memecoins...
They overtrade and keep trading the whole damn day
Find one or two really good plays
Make 1 to 2 grand a day
And walk the hell away
Do that everyday and you made 30 to 60k a month
You're welcome
Time-based capitulation is the slow grind where most traders get chopped apart, bored, drained, and distracted, right before the next expansion phase gradually begins. They miss the quiet accumulation, the early positioning, and the deep research that actually creates edge.
Experienced traders handle this phase differently. They intentionally ignore the noise. They step back, live their lives, stay patient, while keeping a quiet pulse on the market. And when momentum returns months later, they already know where to act and how to execute.
If you’re not yet a high experience, multi cycle trader, this phase is your advantage. Use the silence. Study (TA, books, research). Track emerging narratives (AI, robotics, RWA, or whatever comes next). Build real conviction. Understand that Bitcoin remains the anchor of the market.
So when the market wakes up again, you don’t chase the move, you arrive prepared and ahead.
That’s exactly what I did in late 2022 and through 2023, I identified the AI narrative at the absolute bottom and positioned early. From there, I was also able to spot the next major trading niche, meme coins on Solana, well in advance and prepare properly, allowing me to ride it all the way to financial freedom.
My edge came from entering narratives prepared, with the research done, conviction built, and the right infrastructure already in place.
The cool thing about trading metals is u dont need to worry that copper inu is going to steal all the mindshare from copper while ur asleep. They’re not making new commodities on pumpfun every few seconds
Stay in the game.
Don’t quit just because you made bad decisions and took losses.
After making money in the stock market with AMC, I thought I was a genius. What followed was the opposite:
I gave it all back trading other meme stocks. I was so burned out that I seriously considered leaving financial markets for good and focusing entirely on my career as a teacher. I stepped away for a while.
But I came back.
The inner drive was stronger than the fear.
Then meme coins on Solana happened.
Retired.
My entire family taken care of within a few years.
Not at 60.
At 31.
Zoom out.
Five years in the financial markets can feel like an eternity when losses pile up. The emotional pressure, the stress, the self doubt, it eats you alive. But in real life, five years are nothing if they buy you financial freedom for the rest of your life.
Whatever trading edge or niche you discover in the markets, once you’ve mastered it and proven it profitable, trade it relentlessly. Up, down, sideways.
Execute.
Don’t give up.
I mean it.
