the sound design & the score in this scene gave me full body chills in the theater, it perfectly captures the haunting absurdity of the backrooms as an unknown dimension youre forbidden from understanding because it itself—remembers less, the more it tries
It’s the way Cowboy Carter gagged the oldies 😂
They were ‘doubting’ whether the background vocals on ‘AMERIICAN REQUIEM were all Beyoncé.
Then the song ended and they were like, ‘Oh… that’s all her’ 😂

@blackishpress When I get home is sonically ADVANCED. You have to truly love music, and synths to get it. Don’t listen to it expecting a pop or r&b album, it’s a sonic experience you could play in your home and channel the most calm, immersive energy 👌🏽👌🏽
Solange about new music:
"I've been writing a lot. I’ve never stopped making music. Over the past year, I’ve been playing more in terms of the keys and the drums and returning to that. I played a lot of the keys on A Seat at the Table. On When I Get Home I produced a lot more electronic sounds and synthesisers and programmed drums. But I’ve been very excited to get back to the roots of writing with piano and drums, which has been great for me.
And I’ve started choreographing again for the first time in some years, and it’s been great to return to my body in that way and make it a daily practice. I’m expanding on my design practice as well. I’m scaling up with glass. I worked for two years on the next expansion of that, so I’m excited to release that into the world."
Michael Jackson's former publicist, Raymone Bain, reveals Beyoncé was one of the few artists to support him when others distanced themselves:
“There were only a few who supported and who even called to say, ‘We are with you, and we are supporting you.’ That was very hurtful to him. And I can count them on one hand, truly […] When he was honored by the World Music Awards, it was very difficult to find people who would come and give him his award. The organizers and owners of World Music Award were calling so many people to give Michael Jackson his award, and they wouldn't do it. They didn't want to be on the same stage. And that's why I love Beyoncé now, because she defied everybody. And she and her mom, Tina, they were like, ‘Beyoncé is going to do this.’ And I will never forget it. Michael never forgot it. You know, we can all follow the leader. But she stepped up when others in her camps said, ‘Oh no, you don't wanna do this.’”
