@alex_fasulo@timesunion Utilites wont be able to increase community solar installations. They will actually push for other alternatives if they are forced to meet the NY clean energy goals.
I dont think u realize ur pushing the same agenda as the utilities...
@adamsmalys@alex_fasulo She will eventually realize PV and BESS is the only way to change the structure of how power is distributed. The other option is more centralized generation with more bureaucratic control. Maybe she's a lobbyist for the utilities 🤣
You're building a Substation to interconnect to the grid
You will have 7,000 pages in 2,000 PDFs to get it built
More PDF pages than bolts in your substation
PDF Pages per Bolt
Didn't have that ratio on your bingo card did you
Thanks to @theEnergyMads for telling me about the Electrify Vermont summit and for letting me know @JigarShahDC would be in town so I can ask him a question
Kudos to Jigar for being a good sport as well and taking a picture together. 🤎
@clawrence@xiaowang1984 I've seen even certified PCS controllers still export when they shouldn't be...
Im sure the utility linemen would love to know there could be a bunch of guerilla micro grids behind meters
@JigarShahDC@xiaowang1984 Im not sure if Weave can have their software installed in every utility meter to communicate with all cusotmer owned meter collars in the area
@apoorv_bh89 thoughts?
@JigarShahDC@xiaowang1984 What do you recommend for PG&E to do? WeaveGrid doesn't have a UL 3141 meter collar. You need some central controller to limit the BESS, PV, loads, EV...etc.
Makes sense why Quinn wants SPAN meter collars to communicate with other meter collars in the area.
A group of 29 state senators, led off by @LizKrueger, sent a letter to @GovKathyHochul this morning saying they “categorically oppose any effort to roll back New York’s nation leading climate law” and urging Hochul to “stand strong in the face of misinformation” re affordability
@JigarShahDC@xiaowang1984 It sounds like hes very much im favor of flexible interconnections when other many utilites are not as interested.
His VPP feeder procurement process makes sense to me (upgrading a feeder instead of rolling out a VPP program in that area).
