@wwafawdwglbig Although this may take some time to see results you’d probably be best to see a dermatologist, silver nitrate sticks are great at managing them, basically ‘burns’ them off x

@wwafawdwglbig Hey! This is called granulation tissue, basically your body is overcompensating with attempting to heal. Keep the tissue dry, warm salt baths and thick slightly compressed bandages can help ‘flatten’ them out to allow healing to continue :)

@und1sc0 @omeotoris any antiseptic ointment in wounds (especially fat tissue wounds) isn’t recommended, it damages the tissue and slows down healing! you should sterilise with saline spray in the wound and only apply antiseptic ointment around the edges to create the ‘ sterile seal’ :)

@bracket_co83514 you could try online though? maybe some medical stores may have in stock longer dressings, some of the chemists here in aus tend to stock longer dressings i’ve noticed

@bracket_co83514 i’ve had the same issues with cut to size gauze pads aswell. i’ve struggled to find bandages that will cover long wounds aswell but normally i will just cut dressings in half and overlap them if that makes sense and apply a small bandaid over top to ‘secure’ them together.

@bracket_co83514 but with this being said though, everyones immune system is different! what works for me may not work for you and i’ll always recommend to seek medical attention for severe wounds like yours 🫶 take care

@bracket_co83514 antiseptic ointment around edges of wound (never inside), invest in good quality non-stick dressings, first week ensure daily dressing changes & saline rinses. towards the end of the first week i like to start undressing and allowing wound to get wet in a nice hot shower. :)
