Monsoon is a word. Northeast Monsoon is an emotion for the weather bloggers of Tamil Nadu. We are possibly 48 to 60 hours away from the onset of NEM 2026 as conditions turn conducive under the influence of the LPA that is likely to form in South Bay soon. The onset phase is likely to favour South TN and Delta but there is a potential banana skin in the form of chance of very heavy rainfall over few places in North Coastal TN / South Coastal AP due to the interaction of lower level Easterlies & Westerly trough.
