Who killed Yanar Mohammed ?

Why has the Iraqi government not issued a clear public statement regarding the investigation into the killing of activist Yanar Mohammed?

Why has this case been delayed or left unresolved despite continued pressure from citizens, civil society, and the international communities ?

Who is responsible for the killing of activists?

Why are women’s rights defenders being silenced, threatened, and targeted? And why have so many threats against women activists gone without accountability?

We demand an independent, transparent and thorough investigation into Yanar Mohammed’s killing, the disclosure of the truth, and the prosecution of anyone found responsible.

There can be no justice without accountability, and no accountability without the truth.
