This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity to co-host the "Ocean Defenders Program" as a representative of American Shark Conservancy alongside Terranaut Club, Minorities in Shark Sciences & Field School. (more info in comments) #marineconservation #sharkresearch #research

The students assisted on a shark research expedition (measuring, tagging, and taking data from different shark species), built & set underwater video systems to monitor local sea life, learned about careers in marine science, and had hands-on experience with coastal species.
